Characters: Shayera Hol, and anyone who runs into her!
Date: June 23rd
Location: she'll start off in the Earth Sector, but she'll wander to the other sectors throughout the day.
Situation: her arrival on the turtle!
Warnings/Rating: it's Shayera, so don't expect her to be too friendly. other than that, not really expecting anything too severe.

[Honestly, Shayera had been in worse situations. Like the Thangarian invasion, or the Cadmus Crisis, and countless other that would no doubt take too long to list. But most of those incidents, she chose to get involved in. This one? Not so much. If the "Emperor" had asked and given her a good reason to come, she might have agreed.

But no, they dragged her here, most likely while she was sleeping, and so far, no way of getting back to Earth. Needless to say, she didn't feel like playing along. Sure, she'd at least go to her apartment in the Earth Sector and check out the room they gave her. Well, at least it's got plenty of room for her to stretch her wings. But after spending a little time in her room, she explores more around the Earth Sector, trying to ask people for a possible way out, or even more information about the place.

Once she's gotten her bearings in the Earth Sector, she flies over to the other sectors, moving onto the Fire, Wood, Water, and Metal Sectors in that order. Expect her overall demeanor to be frustrated, muttering curses under her breath occasionally.] If I see those guys again, I'll take my mace, and shove it up their-- [She cuts herself off, since people are starting to give her looks. Of course, her scowl isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Approach at your own risk.] I dare this day to try and get worse.

Never stopped him from trying, though. [Ah, the stories Mari told her of how dull he could be.] I wonder if he knows what a break is.

[Lightly:] Oh we just started drugging his coffee to make sure he slept.

[Now that gets a small chuckle out of her.] Now that's what I should've done ages ago. I'll have to tell Mari that one, too.

So-- uhm. The League. Who's in it?

More people than I can count. There's the founding members, me, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, J'onn, and John. After the Thanagarian invasion, they gained a lot more members. We're talking dozens of superheroes. There's Black Canary, Green Arrow, Vixen, Vigilante, Aquaman, Zatanna, Supergirl, and Stargirl to name a few. We've got plenty more other than them.

[A low whistle.]

Yeah that's... a major difference. We're split into more teams, depending on generation, location, things like that.

We're all usually up in the Watchtower, and J'onn assigns us missions and teams from there.

That much hasn't changed.

It's J'onn, I don't think that's something he'd ever let change. Even across universes.

Right down to the psychic cellular calls, huh?

I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to another voice in my head completely.

[He raises his right hand, indicating the ring.]

This thing likes to jabber. It's kind of comforting after a while.

[That's something new.] John never told me they talk.

They have an AI of sufficient processing power, so yeah, they talk.

What exactly do they talk about? I can't really see them doing small talk, but I could be wrong.

Mostly about data analysis, power level, and occasionally, the fact that I'm disobeying an order. Sometimes I almost think they're trying to be funny. This once, I was in a bar on Graxos III, and it told me if I tried to eat or drink anything there I'd turn purple for a month.

[Oh, oh, she's got a good one for this.] Kinda sounds like John. I should take you to a bar sometime.

[Fingerpoint]

I swear, if you're gonna get me into a bar fight I'm quitting beforehand.

[No, he isn't, his tone and posture are at odds with the words, in a playful way. This is what Guy would do, too, and it does hurt, but she's family now and it's the good kind of ache.]

[Now that gets an honest laugh out of her.] Oh come on, I want to see if you can hold up better than John did.

[A cheeky grin.]

Are we placing bets?

Apparently not, since you said you didn't want to go, kid. [Yes. She is fucking goading you into going with her to a bar.]

[lbr it's not like he wasn't planning to go with her already, he just wanted to see what she'd say.]

[Still waggling that finger at her.]

Oh, you're on. Just a note though, the kedan here are stronger and faster than baseline human, and they don't really get the concept of fighting for fun.

[Well. That dampens her spirits a little.] None of them?

I've found a couple where they're all right, but mostly... no, they don't.

What about people like us? Who were brought here. Not all of them can hate a good bar fight.
