Characters: Shayera Hol, and anyone who runs into her!
Date: June 23rd
Location: she'll start off in the Earth Sector, but she'll wander to the other sectors throughout the day.
Situation: her arrival on the turtle!
Warnings/Rating: it's Shayera, so don't expect her to be too friendly. other than that, not really expecting anything too severe.
[Honestly, Shayera had been in worse situations. Like the Thangarian invasion, or the Cadmus Crisis, and countless other that would no doubt take too long to list. But most of those incidents, she chose to get involved in. This one? Not so much. If the "Emperor" had asked and given her a good reason to come, she might have agreed.
But no, they dragged her here, most likely while she was sleeping, and so far, no way of getting back to Earth. Needless to say, she didn't feel like playing along. Sure, she'd at least go to her apartment in the Earth Sector and check out the room they gave her. Well, at least it's got plenty of room for her to stretch her wings. But after spending a little time in her room, she explores more around the Earth Sector, trying to ask people for a possible way out, or even more information about the place.
Once she's gotten her bearings in the Earth Sector, she flies over to the other sectors, moving onto the Fire, Wood, Water, and Metal Sectors in that order. Expect her overall demeanor to be frustrated, muttering curses under her breath occasionally.] If I see those guys again, I'll take my mace, and shove it up their-- [She cuts herself off, since people are starting to give her looks. Of course, her scowl isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Approach at your own risk.] I dare this day to try and get worse.

[Luckily, the avian - for whatever reason - decides to go groundside shortly thereafter. He instantly starts cataloging details: female, young, and armed. And she knows she's being followed. Either she's got excellent intuition or he slipped up, but either way, she doesn't seem to know where he is. That puts him at the advantage.]
[It's one he isn't willing to act on quite yet. He still has no idea what she's doing out here, or if her suspicion that she's being followed will affect her next move. For now, he continues to silently follow behind.]

[... she says while keeping a firm grip on her mace. A girl needs protection.]

[He asks it from the shadows, and immediately darts away from his hiding place and into another, changing positions from the place he spoke. Her words don't seem particularly challenging, but he's got his eyes trained on her grip over the mace.]

The name "Mephos". Mean anything to you?

Maybe you should tell me who you are instead. [The hard-edged suspicion is mostly gone from the voice, leaving reluctant caution in its place.]

[Also, he's never heard of a Thanagarian. It's possible she pulled that out of thin air, of course - but it also wouldn't surprise him if she were telling the truth. He's seen races of all sorts on this turtle; encountering one with resemblance to a people from his world isn't all that far-fetched.]
[Still, just to make sure...]
Thanagarian. Not avian.

Wow, this guy just will not quit, will he? She's had it up to about here with this guy, even if she can't quite blame him. Those "avians" must have been a problem.] I'm pretty sure I never even said the word "avian", whatever those are. Thanagarian, okay?

[There's an intentional rustling of leaves before a turtle drops from the trees just right of her position. He lands in a crouch, then slowly stands, arms kept placatingly straight at his sides. With respect to their mutual suspicion, he makes sure to keep his apologetic regards for her at a distance.]
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to alarm you.

[Leaving it at that, yep.]

[l o l SORRY SHAY HE HAS NO CLUE.]
[Anyway, fine. He doesn't see any reason to doubt her story - in fact, as he can see from here, she has human-like feet rather than the talons he's seen on avians before, which tilts the scales in favor of her telling the truth.]
[Well...good. Except now Leo has to People Skills. He shifts a bit awkwardly from foot to foot, feeling oddly chastened by his mistake. Better safe than sorry, but still.]
Sorry about the mix-up, Miss...?
