Location: she'll start off in the Earth Sector, but she'll wander to the other sectors throughout the day.
Situation: her arrival on the turtle!
Warnings/Rating: it's Shayera, so don't expect her to be too friendly. other than that, not really expecting anything too severe.

[Honestly, Shayera had been in worse situations. Like the Thangarian invasion, or the Cadmus Crisis, and countless other that would no doubt take too long to list. But most of those incidents, she chose to get involved in. This one? Not so much. If the "Emperor" had asked and given her a good reason to come, she might have agreed.

But no, they dragged her here, most likely while she was sleeping, and so far, no way of getting back to Earth. Needless to say, she didn't feel like playing along. Sure, she'd at least go to her apartment in the Earth Sector and check out the room they gave her. Well, at least it's got plenty of room for her to stretch her wings. But after spending a little time in her room, she explores more around the Earth Sector, trying to ask people for a possible way out, or even more information about the place.

Once she's gotten her bearings in the Earth Sector, she flies over to the other sectors, moving onto the Fire, Wood, Water, and Metal Sectors in that order. Expect her overall demeanor to be frustrated, muttering curses under her breath occasionally.] If I see those guys again, I'll take my mace, and shove it up their-- [She cuts herself off, since people are starting to give her looks. Of course, her scowl isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Approach at your own risk.] I dare this day to try and get worse.

[ She nods, a touch less excited only because it's clear that this woman knows another version of Kara. ]

I am. I take it you've met another version of me? [ Seems like most people she meets have. ]

Mm... sort of. I only new you as Superman's cousin. You went by Supergirl in the League. [That was pretty much all she knew about Kara.]

It seems like everyone I talk to knows about him. It's been six months already and I'm still just getting used to him not being a baby anymore.

Well, to be fair, he's gotten quite a reputation on Earth now. [As in the whole world knows his face.]

So I've heard. [ She smiles fondly, unable to restrain a bit of pride in her baby cousin. ]

I'm glad he's doing good work.

Very good work. [She's personally grateful to Superman for giving her the second chance she didn't think she deserved.] Just out of curiosity, are you in the League, too? Or are you not in the superhero business yet?

Oh, no. [ She laughs awkwardly as she shakes her head. ]

I don't do the... hero thing. Not really. [ She totally does, she just doesn't call it that or go patrolling. ]

Not ready, or it's not your thing? [Either one would be understandable, really. Kara looks pretty young as it is.

It's not my thing. [ A phrase she has heard, but not had much reason to practice. Yay for new phrases! ]

It just seems so overly complicated.

I can't deny the League doesn't get a little complicated at times. [She's learned to live with it, though.] You get used to it after a while.

I guess you would. I just like living my life. What's left of it, anyway. [ She won't ever get her old life back, but she's coming to terms with that. ]

I know what you mean. [She genuinely misses Thanagar sometimes, after all, even if she's not in the same position as Kara. She still understands it.] I see it as getting a new life. And that's not always a bad thing.

It's not exactly what I wanted, no, but it could have been worse. [ She could still be stuck on Earth, with people trying to kill her once a day. ]

It really is nice here, if you give it a chance.

If I had a drink, I'd toast to that. [It's like Kara's saying everything Shayera thought after the invasion.]

I'm not holding my breath, but I guess anything deserves a chance.

They do sell some pretty delicious drinks around here. I could show you a few places. [ She's only really half serious. There really are delicious drinks available. Mostly they're non-alcoholic. She's a huge fan of hot chocolate. ]

Now that is something I can look forward to. [Alcoholic or not, she'd been fine with a decent drink after the mess that was today.] I'll take you up on that offer sometime.

Maybe when you're settled in. [ She heard that future tense there. ]

Mn, it shouldn't take too long. I think it's more getting used to this place that will take a while.

Getting used to it will take time. It would be easier if they weren't rationing right now.

Because the turtle's sick, or something else? And I've coped with worse, I think I'll be okay.

It's the turtle. There isn't a lot of food being produced right now.

Mn. All right, so hold out on big meals. Not the worst that's happened so far.
