I've made a huge mistake
Characters: Amon & A LOT OF PEOPLE
Date: June 15th - June 23rd
Location: All over the place in Earth and Water. Primarily his clinic in Earth sector, the Green Lantern base in EA-3B, and various places in the Water sector.

[ He hadn't worn his mask, and made a point of removing it whenever he was under their roof. There was an unspoken courtesy he had offered Kyle when last they met that he would at the very least be open with his intentions in these lessons and that certain obligations were to be met if he wanted their cooperation. While he'd taken his mask off here far more times than he had ever while in Republic City, it still never felt right. It sat wrong and he felt exposed like a raw nerve.
Even now, he felt as if Soranik was staring at him more intently then when last they met. He feigned disinterest when he droned, ]
Is there something on my face, Dr. Natu?

( It's strange to see Amon without that boundary she'd come to associate with him - but a gesture she acknowledges and respects. Not that Soranik means to study his facial features so intently, and once he mentioned it, she has the decency to break her gaze. )
Not at all. Only there are some key features of your bone structure that I feel I have seen elsewhere.

[ While the exact nature of the lantern ring technology eluded him; he knew the best way to get information was to bide his time and allow it to come out on its on. Curiosity wasn't a risk he was willing to take with them.
He was surprised to receive more than a joking response to his earlier prodding. Clearly she was just hazy on the obvious. ]
You've met my brother.

( There's a small flash of an upwards twist of her mouth before it's gone. She may not have wanted her ring at first, considered it cursed, and wished to distance herself from it as much as possible - but now? Now it was just as much a part of her as it was any other Lantern.
His brother is the obvious answer, and while she'd considered it, Soranik wasn't convinced. )
In passing, and only through the network. ( A shake of her head as she looks from her ring back to him. ) No, not that similar, unless I simply caught an unfavorable glimpse due to not meeting him in person.

What exactly are you implying?

( Of a certain level, and Sora waved it away with a hand. If he were to press she would extrapolate - but she was uncertain about the accuracy. Perhaps it was simply a common defining feature in the bone structure in their universe. )

[ He bit his tongue on any conclusions he was coming to on his own because all of them left a bad taste in his mouth. Regardless, he couldn't wait all night for Sora to be less oblique and just say what was it exactly she was looking for. ]
Speak your mind.

( Completely oblivious of any effect this information might have, Sora moves to the kitchen area - using a construct to grab two glasses from a shelf she can't reach. Kyle's fault, since he did the dishes last, and she makes a mental note to remind him. )
Of course, this might be something that everyone from your world has or a characteristic of your race that I have simply misinterpreted as a sign of some familial resemblance.

You wouldn't have any chance convincing my waterbending as- [ That train of thought set to dock at some insult aimed at the contents of Korra's skull came to screeching halt. For a moment there was nothing but the frozen look of shock on his face. Not dissimilar from that sensation of a chunk of ice dropping in pit of his stomach the last time someone made an announcement concern his familial connections.
You can't possibly believe that- [ Come to think it, what little of his own childhood he remembered he looked exactly like- ] no. [ There was never even a mention of relatives outside of his brother and parents. Which of course begged a host of questions, given Yakone's severing any connecting him to his past. There was that niggling voice in the back of his head that he had no memory of any extended family, or if his mother or Yakone had siblings. ]
That is absolutely absurd.

I will admit to considering it a far stretch, yes. And I will not press the matter if you do not wish me to. ( A pause, as her fingers brushed the triangles under her eye briefly - a reflexive action that she had attempted to stamp down on whenever the topic of family came up. ) But it is not unheard of for relations to appear in ways you do not expect.
( Would she wish that she never knew the truth about her parentage? In some ways, perhaps - but Soranik wouldn't want to live in blissful ignorance for the rest of her life. She might hate half of her own DNA with an unrivaled fury, despise Sinestro's name and legacy, but it was up to her to differentiate herself from her father. No matter how much she feared becoming like him. )

[ Amon dropped composure to indulge one, disgusted shutter. ]
On one condition: You cannot breathe a word of this to Tarrlok.

( She's... perhaps closer is not the correct word, but on more even ground with Amon than his brother. Trusting either of them completely is not an option on the table at any point, but Amon has at least proven to Soranik he is willing to help others. )
