[He's quite serenely starting to sort through the paperwork he'd just put on the desk when she shouts and he nearly drops it, and looks to see what she's gesturing to.]
[Mildly:] It's a poster for self-defence classes.
[His instinct, however, is blaring, and he tenses slightly, almost flexes his ring hand.]

Here? That maniac used a clinic to spread his chi-blocking and you just LET HIM??
[When Korra's hand balled into a fist, flames rose around it up to her arm. One fierce punch accompanied by a loud, angry kiai shout brought forth a large burst of fire that struck not only poster but half the wall and spread across the ceiling, not about to be held in. A physical representation of her anger over her own personal mental image of Jack being sick and shoved aside while Amon furthered his agenda.]

[He moves like lightning, swiftly encasing the flames in a protective bubble to prevent them from spreading to the rest of the room. Green dims the red and orange, but the walls - they're a lost cause. He doesn't try to go for those. The kedan sitting in the same room, however, are panicking. He signals to them to leave. They've done drills, sometimes. The staff will keep cool heads.]
Stay calm. It's only a small fire. [His voice is neutral, self-assured. Years of experience with crowd control, but it doesn't - and can't - make up for people trusting him and the uniform he wears implicitly. Yet, he's had time, in Keeliai, to build that up. The kedan here come because they trust him and Sora, and thank goodness they obey without question.]
[He turns to a volunteer next to him, who is backing away, back towards the main ward she just exited] Suxin, I need you to check on the patients, just in case.
[She nods, terrified (but the fear's assuaged, good) and scurries away. Kyle turns his attention back to Korra.]

As he was directing others, his words passing in one of her ears and out the other, Korra slammed her foot down and a large section of the floor in front of her rose up, a small wall by itself. A front kick that forces her arms down to her side to maintain her balance send the floor kareening towards Kyle.
Flames flicker around her fists as her eyes search for Kyle. The fact that she hasn't said a word is never a promising sign.]

[As the floor comes towards him, he takes to the air, instantly having changed into his uniform. The glow surrounding him is bright but not blinding yet. He hovers, quickly sealing off the main clinic area with a barrier, which is another signal to Suxin, to start evacuating. The rest of the rooms are all expendable. Everything else can be rebuilt, or replaced, with time.]
[But first, always, diplomacy.]
What exactly are you doing?
[His tone is level, but commanding.]

[All of her focus is on Kyle and Korra lets fly two bowling ball sized fireballs from one fist and then the other. Followed up by a swath of flame brought about by a roundhouse kick. In a swift motion, her arms circled and her hands cradled empty space before her and within a moment water sped from the faucets, eager to pour into that space.]
You green rings really are morons after all!

[He doesn't deflect, he takes the blows head on, using a forcefield to protect himself. Maybe, maybe, some sliver of optimism and hope in him prays she'll see sense, that he won't have to use force. Maybe.]
Cease, and desist. This is a clinic.
[The flames dissipate and he's left staring at the water (he too, is water, and the storm clouds gather in his eyes, which have gone cold). He understands now why people fear benders. It's not power. It's the utter lack of restraint. Despite the fact that even he has a hair-trigger temper sometimes, at least he has the decency not to use his ring so flagrantly when he's angry. She has no discipline. No sense of responsibility. No consideration at all that there's innocent people in the next room.]

[Motions that normally looked graceful and serene when practiced, now seemed viciously violent as Korra sped through them. Each whip and snap of her arms caused many pockets of water to slide off the ball of water towards Kyle, instantly turning to ice in mid-flight.
His demand is met with an acidic:]
Didn't stop you, did it?
no subject
[Anger later, he tells himself, as the ice hits, and he deflects it. Control the situation now. One thing at a time He encases her in a bubble.]
[With quiet force:] Cease, and desist. Sit down, and we can talk about this.
[A beat.]
This is your final warning.

[The green bubble around her grabbed her attention and Korra yelled in frustration as she let loose blasts of fire from her fists hitting the wall. Flames bending away from her as she did so. All to no avail.
Once her last onslaught of fire cleared her view of Kyle, she stared at him for one heartbeat with the look a hungry caged tiger would give it's zoo keeper. Then a dawn of realization came across her face and mixed with the scowl she had.
One hand was placed in the air below her elbow, the other arm upwards in a blocking position. After a pause her hands became parallel to each other before her chest. Whether it was audible outside of the green bubble she did not know, but her hair started to move within it. Slowly at first. Then it started to whip faster, gradually until it was flailing madly around her. She was bending the one element she had little to no control over. In the center of a increasingly powerful ball of air was Korra, glaring at Kyle as she continued her focus on one goal.

[He returns her crazed look (that in any other person would inspire fear) with a cold glance; he is still waters, unshakeable, unyielding. The glow around him increases until it is blinding, to distract her from the fact that he's reinforcing the forcefield around her. That was the thing about enemies who used fire (and were too hot-headed, ha) is that they ran out of oxygen inside it. He just had to wait for her to pass out.]
[So he does.]

Trying to find any oxygen to breath, not unlike the fish she caught daily from the ocean, Korra tried to breathe through her mouth as well. She hammered her fists against the bubble, which only caused her to run out of breath sooner. Eventually the last thing she remembered seeing was a hazy view of green light before collapsing and blacking out entirely.]

[Then the moment of weakness passes, and Kyle pulls himself together. He lowers the barrier to the main clinic; it's empty. Then, he checks Korra - good, there's not a single injury caused by his ring. He doubts she'd be happy to wake up still here (and she might cause more damage), so he'll need to call someone to come get her.]
Damn stupid kids.
[He exhales. It could have been much worse.]
