Honestly, I was just going to kiss him. [Because physical contact works in combat, so it should work when it comes to feelings from the heart, right?]

I will! [For some reason, that snort and that sentence sounded like a challenge.]

Any way to minimize those chances? [Surely a guy like Finnick knew shortcuts, or at least, Korra assumed he would.]

No. You can't control other people, Korra. Just remember that. [Unless, you know, you threaten to kill their loved ones. And then maybe sometimes.] It'll be okay. Jack's a good guy.

I didn't mean it like that. [Finnick, what-] I meant is there some way to make it, I don't know, special? [Because seriously, Korra has no clue how to approach it aside from just being shy of sexual assault.]

I know he's a good guy. That's part of why I [GULP.] like him.

[Korra pls] I think the special is supposed to come from you being yourself. Just be completely honest. He can't ask for much more than that.

[Tiny babbies /pinches their cheeks]

Yeah, I suppose not. [All she could do was scratch her head. This romantic business felt complicated, but Finnick made it sound easy.]

Um, can you not tell him anything? [She would die.] He's sick at the clinic, and I just really want him to get better. [And this could probably make his condition worse for all she knew.]

[Besides, he doesn't really like involving himself too deeply in other people's love lives unless there's a real problem.]
