[How she wished she could introduce him to Asami so they could talk shop. Though she was pretty sure Tony’s talk would blow her mind. Even mecha tanks seemed like a piece of junk next to the Iron Man.]

Landing first, then maybe some races. But at least you made my first one a success. [And completely saved her life from her own stupidity, but that could go unsaid.]

[He was enjoying this much talk anyway. It was refreshing just to get out and fly and talk to someone about the good part of abilities. Korra's world at least appreciated bending as far as he could tell. It didn't feel like so much of a curse.]

The first is just getting you off the ground. Once you warm up to it, you'll be flying circles around the rest of us.

[Tony grinned. Even with that one near-miss, he was enjoying it. It all worked out in the end and Korra had fun. That was really all that mattered to him at the moment. Responsible adults were probably better found elsewhere.]

[Korra had always focused on the good part of her abilities, mainly because all of her masters and teachers had focused on the negative aspects of it. Mainly her lack of restraint.

From her experience with that, looking at the positive side of other people’s powers and abilities was her go to. Why make them feel like she had to?]

I’ll add it to my training regimen; it’ll be mastered before you know it. [Said with a smile because she liked having responsibility over her own schedule and knowing that she could handle a lot. Made her feel like the adult she wanted to be knew she was.]

Hey, I’ll even make sure to get it down by the next time some disaster hits the turtle.

[It's not something Tony would admit out loud, but having Korra around is a chance to help out and do a little coaching. He feels good about the opportunity. Tony likes getting to show her some flying tricks, even though it's not quite the same as real teaching. It's kind of like home. Or maybe it's not, and that's why he likes it. Second chances and all of that.]

So the next time I see you, I can expect a challenge. That's what you're saying.

[Okay, so Tony isn't a great role model. But Korra's having fun, he's having fun, and maybe they're both learning something from the flying lesson. That means something to him. He has no reason to doubt that Korra can handle her own training since bending seems like a natural power in her world. It's not like he's watching a complete amateur grasp at straws.]

If you're really good, you can probably learn a few useful tricks too.

[Less role models and more fun is exactly what Korra needed. There’s a permanent role model she’s been sculpted after since she had just barely grew out of being a toddler.]

Yup, and if I even get an airbending teacher by then, you better bring your best game. [Pro-bending wasn’t here and competition is something Korra thrived on, even if she knew that she was outclassed. Setting up an impossible bar was par for the course in her experience.]

Maybe if there was some kind of race track set up in the sky, give the fliers something to do.

[Fun Tony could do. It was something he was good at as long as there were no serious threats to botch it up. He grinned, putting on a little show of bravado when Korra gave him the challenge. That was what he needed to hear.]

Even if you are the avatar of your world, I'll still school you in a race. Just make sure you are ready to lose.

[It had been awhile since he got to enjoy something like this. Once he got the Extremis augmentation, it was all work. Before that? Emptiness. A feeling of sedentary loss that dragged out his life. It was about time he got to actually enjoy being Iron Man again.]
