PRE-RAID
Well, perhaps this won't be done as quietly as Iorveth had intended, but never the less, efficient. They're all experts at what they do, and they know what they're looking for. Now it's just the making it in and out without being arrested in the process. Or running into the Emperor herself. Oops. ]
Re: PRE-RAID
It's time again, at last, to work for something that matters, and here he is, ready for that. It's time to find an answer for Grantaire, for Cosette, for his own reappearance here, and Korra's, to try, if he might, to determine specifics of what the empress is playing with, or at least to find something that points to it. Now it's time to spring to whatever he must again, and he is ready, not to fight with fists or gun, but with the ideals he's always held most dear, and for as great a purpose as he ever had.]
No man has any natural authority over his fellow men. Rosseau. [He says, quietly to both everyone, and no one all at once.] I am prepared.
TEAM THREADS
Sneaking Group #1: Marius, Enjolras, Damian & Zel
Sneaking Group #2: Vanessa, Catty, Dorian

i am only a little late, i promise
This is important, though, and a little memory loss isn't going to hurt anyone.

Footsteps echo down the hall, and she sighs. "Speak of the devil. Just keep doing what you're doing!"
The kedan guard rounds the corner, and before he has time to even register what he's seeing, Catty is in his mind. The guard stops in his tracks like he's been frozen in place as the girl gently plucks at his memories and motivations, rearranging things. "You've already checked this section," she says calmly. "You heard the dis - uh, the commotion on the other side of the palace and are going to go and investigate that."
The kedan nods, turning woodenly and staggering off. He breaks into a run as Catty relaxes her grip on his mind and turns back to the other two, smiling. "Right! Let's keep going?"
/fashionably/ late; we're /fashionable/
But this lock gives. Dorian's triumph reigns just in an "Ahah!" and a cocky little smile (undeserved, given how many locks he failed) and he opens the door to the elegant, grand marble room. "Well, well. Here's a pretty room. Shall we have a look?"
they are extremely fashionable people here
She looks around once Dorian gets the one door to open, leaning in past the frame. It's beautiful, but that's not so unusual. Every place in the palace has its own sort of beauty to it.
"Looks like we've found the bath." Awesome.
Sneaking Group #3: Una, Amon, Sabriel
no subject
Una stops to look at the key, but hesitates before picking it up.

"I think it's safe- there's some power in it, but it doesn't feel like a trap." Not to mention that magical keys and locks seemed perfectly sensible to Sabriel- they were harder to pick than mundane ones, after all.
Sabriel picked up one of the books and set it down after glancing over a few pages- nothing of use, as far as she could tell.
Distraction Group: Leo, Roy, Percy, Annabeth

Door go big badda boom. Wood pieces errywhar. Also smoke. WEEEE. Michael Bay, eat your heart out. And here's Roy giving a gigglesnort back at Leo, Percy and Annabeth. ]
I didn't really need to shoot it. Just cooler that way. Totally could've used the remote.
no subject
[And she's about to vocalize her gripe with it, when she hears the sounds of running. Percy and Leo are too busy being distracted by the distraction themselves, and she's pretty sure Roy's still basking over it. She slides on her cap and disappears, just in time for three guards to cough their way through the smoke of the explosion.]
[Before they can call out and sound more alarms, Annabeth's behind them, slamming the hilt of her knife into the back of one of them, sending him to the ground. The other two look over at their fallen comrade, but it's barely ten seconds later before the both of them go down, too.]
Way to go, genius! [She doesn't come back into sight, listening carefully for the sounds of anyone else that might have been lured over by the explosion. There's bound to be more, and better to keep the advantage she has right now.] We need to move, unless we want to get caught before anything else.
no subject
[He breaks off the second Annabeth slides her hat on. Roy might be surprised to note that Percy pulls out not a weapon, but a ballpoint pen - at least, that's what it looks like, up until the moment he uncaps the pen and it morphs into a sword in his hand.] Uh oh.
[Before he can to anything to help, though, Annabeth's already taken care of it. Percy gives her a look of mixed pride and annoyance] Show off.
[That's directed at her. Not Roy, who just shot a detonator with an arrow. Totally Annabeth]
no subject
And then Annabeth has disappeared, and so Leo steps back. He's not exactly willing to use his fire powers in front of someone he barely knows, but he readies himself, just in case.
...Which apparently isn't at all needed, because Annabeth knocks the guards out in no time. THANKS, SISTER IN SCIENCE. He looks pretty relieved that it's over just as quick and puts on a smile, then claps his hands together.]
So! Close call, huh?
no subject
With the sound of footfalls approaching, Roy's casually notching an arrow, still grinning from his super awesome explosion, and he had been raising the bow to take out some kneecaps, but then Annabeth is invisible and doing invisible things. Okay, well, that works too. She gets a snort and an eyeroll for the scolding and he shrugs. ]
Uh, yeah, you're welcome - what kind of distractions are you guys used to?
[ Granted, the Outlaws tends to be considered somewhere around clinically insane, and if there isn't a field of tanks chasing them, it's not really that much of a distraction. W/e w/e, it's all gravy. He just shoots the others a wide grin as he starts making his way down another hallway - like Annabeth said, they need to move. ]
The Lord doth sayeth - go big or go home.
no subject
The smart kind, when we have a say in it. [She snaps it.] The aftermaths of which we're more prepared to deal with. The kind that won't get us caught before we're done.
[But she's already moving, too, still invisible; one less perpetrator seen by the guards, the better. But they should probably get a little further away, before setting off any other bombs. Or anything else. This is her plan, at least.]
[Really, explosions are standard. But when given the opportunity, more control pls.] The more locations we can hit up, the better. The guards will be more scattered that way, once it becomes more clear there's people who aren't supposed to be here.
[Though it's abundantly clear that Roy falls into the Percy-and-Leo form of distraction, and she starts trying to figure out how to work with that, too.]
no subject
He turns back to Roy, walking easily backwards as they get on the move] We try for the smart kind. But we also have wide an varied experience with the dumb kind, the desperate kind, and the exploding kind.
[And then more seriously] Annabeth's right, though. There are pipes all through this place though, and fountains everywhere. Plenty of ammo for me.
POST RAID
It's a hut in a burned out village, but it's something. ]
no subject
One of you better have found something good, or I just wasted a whole lot of scrap metal for a butt-ton of nothing.
no subject
Rest easy, Roy. I think we've got a few things to show for our labours.
no subject
Yeah? Ballin'. You guys make it through okay - no guards?

Does anyone else besides Zelgadis have magical training? I want to study this a bit more... but I think whoever wrote this was working out a way to seal our enemy- permanently.
no subject
For real? Score... [ He sets the journal on his lap and thumbs through a little, looking over it. Huh. ] Magical training, magical training... No one comes to mind. The demigod kids that were with me had some mad skills, though? Maybe ask Percy, Leo and Annabeth?
no subject
And we need to find out what Bysaliat is- maybe it's the world the Kedan came from?
no subject
Might wanna be careful where we're asking around. If the Emperor catches wind of it we might end up in a dungeon for a while.
