Situation: An ancient festival of an ancient city, all are welcome at the Bacchanal!

Death and destruction cannot curtail the single most important festival celebrated by the denizens of Sinbrilee: The Bacchanal! The ghosts in and about the city have begun to gossip about high fashion and festivities, sending any that inquire to the Amphitheatre -- a grand, circular structure nestled in the west side of the city.

This structure bore the fall of Sinbrilee and the wear of time with dignity, having lost handfuls of archways and one long stretch of wall to crumbling decay. Despite this, it is obvious that the amphitheatre once hosted many a display and every more festivities than the mind can grasp. This was their solace and safety; here is where the people of Sinbrilee came to find the mind's escape from all that threatened them and their great turtle.

Ghosts have been busy throughout the week, clearing paths through debris and hanging great cloth banners of soft blues and greens to disguise the more blatant signs of its decline. Many hundreds of them shimmer and slid through the area, providing for tables upon tables of food, offering drink, and overseeing competition of sport and skill (some even denying death's non-corporeal curse to enter).

Here, well... Here is where the party begins!

Why do you think I signed up in the first place?

[Jim mirrors Jack's expression exactly. Christ, they really are too similar.]

I mean, come on. Anybody can fly a starship. But the uniforms.

It takes a certain type to fill out that uniform just right. [And if the look he gives the other man is any indication, Jim has what it takes.] Especially when they're this well tailored. You'll have to give me a recommendation.

There's a seamstress in the Fire sector. I could hook you up. She doesn't mind working with Foreigner specifications.

[And hey, he's pretty sure Jack would cut a half-decent figure himself. Is that narcissism? Probably.]

I'd appreciate it. [Okay, so he's somewhat concerned with repairing his coat if anything happens to it. And he's used to a certain style of dress after this long.] I'll have to be sure to have my own uniform at the ready for the next- event.

What, nothing strapless and sequined? For shame.

[Yes there is totally intimation of cross-dressing here. All in good fun.]

Well, I suppose if you'd rather- my legs do look rather stunning when bared.

[It's not a no. But it's the principle of the thing.]

[Smirk. Just wait till you see the dresses Jack picks out.]

They make my calves look fantastic, if I say so myself.

[He's already a little terrified, not a word of a lie. But as if a captain would ever show fear!! Well. At least about this. Some situations call for it, and his expression tightens briefly.]

Make sure you go to Alcuin for those dresses, huh? I've heard he's the best in town.
