[Totally shoving you playfully now.] Yeah, yeah, your win.

Are you going to stay for dinner? Or are you going back to Jim's place?

[imaginate]

[He uses the momentum to flop on the floor, curling up comfortably.]

We've still got leftovers, right? Let's just make dinner of that and tomorrow we can eat out or something.

[wingedwarrior]

I wanted to try cooking with you, but finishing those leftovers is probably a better idea. [They'll have other opportunities, anyway.]

[imaginate]

[AFTER A HILARIOUS COOKING SHOW-ESQUE SCENE they are both sitting down to dinner. Kyle stirs the pot and holds out a hand for Shayera's plate.]

[wingedwarrior]

[Okay so they're not doing that again unless they can keep things from almost blowing up. She hands over his plate, as she thinks of the best way to initiate her little plan.] Jim's been pretty affectionate, I see.

[Calmly sipping her water like nothing happened y e p. Actual worst sister.]

[imaginate]

[He takes a large portion and puts it on her plate, helping himself to something equally large. Who knew Feelings could make you so hungry.]

[He says grace, takes a bite, and almost chokes when she speaks.]

Yeah. Uhm.

[Oh wow, awkward. He rubs his neck as a reflex and then stops dead, realising what's happening, and sighs.]

[wingedwarrior]

[Emotions are exhausting and always make you hungry. But that reaction wasn't what she was suspecting. Something more along the lines of blushing and complaining of some sort.] Come on, I was just teasing. What's wrong?

[imaginate]

I. What?

[Here's the blush.]

Oh - I'm just. Not used to it.

[wingedwarrior]

That's better. [Okay, now she's smirking.] Better get used to it. You should've seen me trying to help Wally get with Fire.

[imaginate]

[That makes him choke.]

Wally - with Fire. Aw man.

[He starts chuckling helplessly.]

Why do I miss all the good stuff?

[wingedwarrior]

Hey, it was actually kinda cute. [Even if it makes her laugh about how dorky he was being.] Man, if we could still go through those dreaming archways, I could show you. He was actually shy around her.

[imaginate]

He should be.

[His expression falls.]

I went through nightmare after nightmare in those arches. I know some people had good stuff but [he shakes his head.] I just ran. Have to face that stuff eventually, huh?

[wingedwarrior]

Hey. [She scoots her chair closer to his, reaching for his hand.] With the nightmares I saw in you, I can't blame you from running. Anyone would, okay? I'm not the best storyteller, but I can tell you what happened. Any stories you want to know, no need for the arches here.

[imaginate]

[He squeezes it, grateful.]

Okay. Tell me if Wally ever managed to trick one of you into paying his restaurant bills.

[wingedwarrior]

More times than I can count. [Especially that time he left John to pick up the bill for all those burgers.] I think after a while, we all just accepted we'd be stuck paying for him whenever he eats out with us.

[imaginate]

[He chuckles softly.]

Does your League have potlucks?

[wingedwarrior]

Not that I know of. Pretty sure Wally's the very reason we don't. [Because there's the matter of getting enough for everyone and him.]

[imaginate]

Pretty sure our speedsters are the reason we do. That, and the JSA likes its holiday dinners.

[wingedwarrior]

I don't think the League is as festive as you guys. We might throw a party now and then, but nothing that extravagant. But speedsters? Plural? How does your world even have food anymore?

[imaginate]

Plural. Not just the Flashes, I think there's a few others, but I don't know them personally.

[He shrugs.]

Sounds like the League's a lot newer in your day, and you've got less groups. It's usually an inter-team thing.

[wingedwarrior]

How many do you have? [It sounds like there's a small army.]

They recruited a lot more members about five years after the first seven of us formed it. It's been... probably a few years by now. Look, I'm just not that social with a lot of the League, they might throw a ton of parties I don't know about.

[imaginate]

Uhh. There's the JSA, the League, the Titans, or Teen Titans, sometimes... Young Justice? A few others? I don't know everybody.

[Shakes his head.]

The League's been around since I was a kid.

[wingedwarrior]

Justice League where I'm from. It's been around for less than ten years, probably. [She sighs.] Way too many different universes for my tastes.

[imaginate]

There's over fifty, actually.

[He taps the plate thoughtfully.]

I'm either not a Lantern, or not yet, in the others here.

[She knows what that means, and he's finally glad he doesn't have to explain it.]

[wingedwarrior]

Yeah, I remember you told me that when I first got here. Fifty-two of them, if I recall. [There's a pause on her end, tapping a finger on the table.] I'm glad I met this version of you.
