Location: Lots of places in Keeliai!
Situation: Lois has Kryptonian powers, she's not sure whose. (Spoiler: Jor-El's.) But her husband's a teenager. She has some issues.

"Yes, he's a teenager," she says with an ominous scowl. No, she is really not going to elaborate any further, because it is in fact very, very tough and really incredibly frustrating.

But that's private, and while she might be willing to bemoan it with Dinah or someone... not random kid.

She glances his way, and then winces. "I'm sorry," she says sincerely. "Everyone I've known who can fly... it's a joy. I can't begin to describe it, or how they feel when it's gone."

He gets one look at her face and looks down. No laughter from that anymore. It's obviously a sensitive subject, and yeah, he's not touching that with a five foot pole. Or any pole. Just, not going to touch that one.

"No, it's okay." He waved his hand. "It just makes me feel like when I didn't have any powers, so it's okay." He looked up and gave her a small smile.

It reminded him of being weak, and helpless.

Well. Sensitive in the sense of 'she is not getting lazy morning rituals because he looks about sixteen.' Not emotionally sensitive otherwise. Look, Lois has priorities sometimes; no one said they were good priorities.

"Yeah, I've seen that a lot," she says sympathetically. "I know a fair number of the heroes back home, and I've seen them without powers."

Most especially she remembers Clark on any number of occasions when he's been without. She's seen how much he hates not being able to help as he usually does.

Billy has to give a laugh at that. "I know a lot of people back home who would be freaking out a lot more then me about this. I didn't get mine until recently, you know? But people who are born with them, well."

He gives a shrug. "It's like cutting off a limb or something. Or something worse." Billy doesn't know how Victor is taking all of this. He knows somewhat, but maybe he's okay with being cut off of his own things, because he has Billy's to contend with.

"You look like you're having fun, though. Have fun while you can, right?" Change of subject.
