My corner of the sky
Characters: Lois Lane and open!
Date: During the mis-spell event!
Location: Lots of places in Keeliai!
Situation: Lois has Kryptonian powers, she's not sure whose. (Spoiler: Jor-El's.) But her husband's a teenager. She has some issues.
Warnings/Rating: Language, I'm sure.
[[ooc: let me know if you want a specific thread-starter. Action or prose welcome!]]

The Sky
But she can fly.
Being high has the added benefit of blocking out some of the noise, but mainly Lois just cannot get over the sheer joy of flight. She always loves flying with Clark, of course. She is honestly just incredibly pissed off that he seems to have lost his (it would be utterly in keeping with their lives if she got his). And that he's a teenager. She'd give anything to go flying and racing with him.
Even so, the sheer joy of it is her consolation for the stress of the rest. She picked up flight much more easily than Jor-El or CJ (as she's been calling the little Clark in her head) had.
So she can often be found swooping around the skies, or even just hovering and exulting in the feeling.

On the other hand, she's as likely to be hovering slightly off the ground as not while wandering around talking to people; whether this is conscious or not is probably best left unquestioned.

Water Sector
However, there's also the constant sound of water, a little closer and more immediate than it is in other sectors, and that makes it much easier to focus on. She has trouble sorting it all out sometimes (and hasn't quite gotten the hang of focusing on one heartbeat like her--apparently very romantic--husband), so the sound of running water helps her keep a grip on it all.
She's as likely to be found just sitting by a fountain, maybe even with her head in her hands, as eating at a cafe.
I couldn't resist this too

That said, it's also kind of exciting to be able to climb trees without fear of injury if she should fall.
As a result, about half the time she's in the area she's practicing zipping between and around trees. The other half, she's just climbing high and enjoying doing what her parents used to yell at her for.

However, on the other hand, these powers aren't naturally hers. As a result, she feels no particular need to disguise herself or even wear a mask. Easy enough to explain--even truthfully--that this is temporary... but that doesn't mean she's not stepping in.
(Besides, while Clark's grounded--literally--she feels obligated to step in.)
Metal Sector has the most one-off crimes, so she spends quite a lot of time dropping in and out, even patrolling to some degree, because it's rare she gets to take out her dislike for criminals quite like this.

On the other hand, she can also listen and look in on meetings and the like and tell the police about it and then hang around to get the story--and maybe stop anyone guilty who tries to run. (How Clark balances his life is making a lot more sense, now that she has first-hand experience doing journalism with powers.)
As a result, her strolling--or hovering--around is not as casual as it looks.

Clark had woken up hours before Lois, mostly because he didn't even need the sleep to begin with, and had flown around to check everything was alright (a habit he'd gotten in Metropolis and never got around to lose on the turtle). Once that had been done he'd flown to change to his pajamas again and crawling back to bed to wait for her to wake up.
Once she had and they had shared the usual morning lazy pleasantries, Clark had started on breakfast. It wasn't his favorite meal of the day to cook, but it was the most important one so he always made sure to have plenty ready for both of them. With a lot of fruit because it was healthy in the morning.
He actually recalls wondering which one of the turtle's weird fruits was Lois' favorite when there was- a loud sound, and some kind of energy. And then a light.
"Wha- Lois...?"
And then his clothes didn't fit him anymore, and he swears it had been such a normal start for a normal day...
