[Weaving in between trees, Korra can see Zee’s magical propulsion between the occasional blur of leaves and branches.]

So is anyone giving you a bit too much heat over this?

[Because if they were, Korra wants names. It felt like she just got done taking some burden off of Zatanna and then the next day, it just got replaced.]

It's nothing I can't handle.

[And this much was true. The worst of it came from a pair of Wayne boys, father and son, who were glaring and scolding her verbally at worst. There was also Lois, but she hadn't seem much of the reporter since their initial exchange over the Network.]

Have you thought about working on it somewhere besides your suite, and, I don’t know, magic-ing yourself to look like someone else?

[If it was something Zatanna couldn’t handle, Korra’s very ready to jump in exercise her new might. However, if this is the case, it was the only best solution she could of off the top of her head.]

I would, except it doesn't really matter where I work on it.

That's why I've been sneaking out a bit when nobody was looking. For a three-floor suite, that place can get seriously claustrophobic at times. No wonder the boys are rarely home.

Yeah, you never really get used to it.

Glad you managed to get away unnoticed. I know what it's like when pretty much everyone is keeping their eye on you.

I wouldn't say most, but some people actually know my name instead just 'that girl who burned down the clinic'.

It's getting there. Doesn't hurt that a lot of the new foreigners don't know about it. That would just rip off the scab, huh?

[It was a bit of a tongue twister, to be fair.]

Look on the bright side, at least yours didn't endanger the lives of children and the elderly. You're not going to wake up at your friend's house scared out of your mind. And you didn't Didn't make your friends tell you what you did was wrong when it was just an accident.

[A beat.]

Well, I don't know about that last one.

I don't mind "Zee" so much, actually. I can't remember when people started calling me that, but it works for me.

...and, yeah, we might need a bit of leeway with some of that. Especially if ages really are being affected.

[Only she could find a whole new way to give Bruce Wayne a literal heart attack.]

I like it, takes the 'Atanna' out of the whole equation.

I don't see anything wrong with being a kid again really, but older. Wow, that one really threw me for a loop.

[Turning over onto her back so she was laying down while flying, Korra closes her eyes and smiles.]

But hey, you gave me the chance to actually fly. I'm okay with that.

{Zee, meanwhile, was on her stomach. Lazily enjoying the not-quite-race they were still having.]

I could've given you that chance at any time, honestly. All you ever had to do was ask.

But then I would have known it was coming. It's like a surprise.

[She snaps her finger as the thought hits her.]

Or like you and Jack said, it's like Christmas!

I'm not complaining about the speed and strength at all to be honest.

[She can't help grinning at the mental image of Jack at Christmastime. Any excuse that boy could find for giving his favorite people presents.]

Christmas works, I suppose.

Does this mean I don't owe you any more presents this year?

If you can just give me this one again at the end of the year, I think I'd be fine. What about you, what do you want for Christmas?

Think I’d like to see that. Speaking of gifts and Christmas, I’ve been thinking about buying Mako a motorcycle. I mean I’ve been saving most of my money since day one.

[Food’s hardly a bill when your job gives you fish and sea prunes are almost free. Not to mention the gems from Sinbrilee working better than any rations could.]

I’ve never bought anyone anything. Would that be too much?

Considering he's your boyfriend? ...no, I don't think it's too much.

[Then again, she might be slightly ~~jealous~~ biased because when does she get a motorcycle?]

The closer someone is to you, the better their present should be. It doesn't always have to be quite that expensive, but it should definitely be something you put more thought into than your usual Secret Santa grabbag gift. If you think he could use it, and you have the money, I say go for it.

What’s the difference between Santa and Secret Santa?

[That brings up Santa, whatever he looked like, wearing a ninja costume.]

Well, he doesn’t have a polar bear dog to ride on, so I think he could use it. [A smirk.] But I’ll look into it once I figure out what it should look like.

Remind me to take you to a shop sometime soon. I'll show you.

And a Secret Santa is basically a name for when a bunch of friends get together and pick names out of a hat at random to figure out who to buy a present for. This way, everybody gets something, it can still be a surprise, and you don't have to spend all your money buying presents for all your friends.

[Like a certain Winter Spirit most likely did back in July.]

What about the Santa part? Doesn’t he give the presents?

[Jack said Santa gave gifts to kids. What’s all this about buying and giving??]

That's what the Secret Santa is. Somebody who gives presents. In secret.

So, they're just pretending to be Santa by giving them a gift anonymously?

[That does make sense now that she thinks about it.]

And Santa doesn't mind other people doing what he does?
