Dick Grayson (comics);
However, when she finished restocking and lifted the empty crates, she was surprised to see who the bartender was that day.
"Dick?" His name was said with a surprised laugh. "Don’t tell me you work here too?" It wasn’t disappointment at all, just marveling at the coincidences she had in meeting him.
"When are you going to stop dropping in on me like this?" Said jokingly because last time, it was her who literally flew down to find him in the Metal Sector.

Ah, a cop bar. That was fun, but he liked working here. He got to show off a little more (it was the circus kid in him), and there was always a surprise.
Like Korra working here. "Well, look who's here!" Dick laughed. "Hey, I'm not dropping in on you, you're popping up everywhere I go." He came over to the bar and hopped over it.
"How did I miss you working here? Man, Bryn really hired some good people."

"Don’t sweat it; I missed you, too. Working here, I mean." Fetching beer nuts from under the bar, Korra began filling the clean and empty dishes.
"Mind making me a drink?" she asked, curious to see his bartending skills. "Nothing alcoholic though." While the bar allowed drinks to be served to anyone sixteen years or older, Korra kept away from the alcohol. There hadn’t been anything that even tempted her to.
I love that I get to use all of my bartending knowledge for Dick. Yes. Good.
"Aw, you only missed working here? That cuts me, that cuts me deep." Teasing her as he sets them us, he grins at her. "Make you a drink, nothing alcoholic. Okay, well, first you need to tell me what you like to drink. Sweet, sour, tangy. Then I can show off some bar flair."
One of the many services my character provides /o/
Keeping things clean and restocking the bar was Korra’s main job, and there was no need for to her to train as a backup bartender since they had quite a few on staff. Meaning, she had no idea what that bartending equipment was necessarily for. "Sorry, business before pleasure." A thin lipped smile as she teased back. The only other adult she could really trade that kind of banter with was Jim, so it was nice to know there was another outlet for that.
"Then let’s start off with something tangy." A quick hop over the bar and she was seated on one of the stools. "I’m totally ready for some flair!"
\o\ It's a wonderful service!
"See, I subscribe to the much better phrase 'a pleasure doing business with you'." Dick picked up the shaker, teasing back. Plenty of ice, plenty of glasses, plenty of everything, really. And what was great, here, was that the alcohol was potent. But that also meant that the juice that was made was seriously, seriously, good.
And he wasn't surprised when she jumped over the bar; instead, it made him grin even more. "I wish you were an alien right now, because I had a great joke about it being out of this world." Seriously, he had a good one with that. "I kind of pegged you for a tangy girl, though."
Dick spun the shaker in his hand, picking up a bottle and spinning it in the other. "See, I like how we actually put our juice into bottles, because that helps retain the flavor." The shaker was set on the bar, with the cranberry juice poured into it. "And anyone who orders a non-alcoholic drink here automatically feels like a badass even though they didn't order any liquor." He set the bottle down, picking up two more.
He then proceeded to toss them back and forth, one in the front and one behind his back, occasionally tossing them over each shoulder. Yeah, he was a show off.
Hee
At the tangy comment, all she could say was “That’s just because of the sea prunes.” Watching him nimbly toss things around like it was no effort at all made her want to try her hand. She was a fast study and a natural at most things, except spiritual things of course, but she was seriously impressed. Not many of the bartenders could put on a show like Dick did.
“I started doing that.” Korra said with a sly smile. Since Bryn put her in charge of stocking the bar, she had extra bottles left over and just put juice in them. She had no idea those bottles were to be backups in case others broke. “Badass?” she asked curiously with a grin. While it sounded weird, it did sound kind of cool at the same time.

And to make it fun, he leaned a hip against the bar, not paying attention to the bottles he was throwing up and down in the air. "Wait, really?" Dick asked, surprise on his face. "I didn't know that was you! Nice move, really, like I said, it all tastes better if it's from an actual bottle. Kind of like coke in glass versus plastic bottles." He stopped throwing the bottles in the air, just so they were spinning back in his hands, before pouring in pineapple juice.
Both of them were set down, then, and he put the cap on the shaker, shaking it up in one hand, while he grabbed a glass in another. A scoop of ice into it, and he grabbed a small bottle, pouring a little dose of peach nectar into the glass.
"Yeah, badass. It means you're cool, awesome, no one should go up against you kind of thing." He looked up as he poured the mixture into the glass, setting. "Like you can kick someone's ass if they look at you the wrong way."
The glass is set on a napkin and pushed toward her. "You, my friend, are a badass."

Dick was downright stellar and his dexterity was something even Korra could be a little envious of.
A grin spread across her lips when the glass glided soundlessly atop the napkin.
"I think we need a badass toast to us then." No way is she not giving him credit where it's definitely due, and she lifted the glass up unable to hide the fun she was having.
no subject
Dick was loving working here. "Okay, a badass toast. I need to get a drink." He grabbed another glass, pausing for a moment to decide what to drink. He was an adult, he could drink whatever he wanted.
He poured some of the orange juice into the glass, and then raising it up. "To us, for being the most kickass people currently in this bar. And also for looking great in blue."
no subject
"Finally, someone who has good tastes in clothes." Completely joking. Even Korra knows how her mukluk boots, baggy pants, animal fur, and form fitting sleeveless top look out of the ordinary compared to everyone else.
"Wow, this is really good!" After the sip from the toast, Korra’s eyes widen and she’s going right back for another drink. Fruity with a tang to it, very much to her liking.

Making drinks, that is. "I'll keep making different ones, you can help me figure out some kind of a special drink deal." He grinned. "People love those kind of things. Drinks you can only find at a specific place."
