With a few heaves, Korra dragged the bins to the back of the shop where she could clean the fish later. The sloshing inside stopped suddenly, frozen so she could take a break before starting on that. When she emerged from the back room, already drinking from a water bottle, Korra’s eyes landed on the plank. The only time she had seen someone doing art had been back at the clinic, before she inadvertently ruined that.
"Are we finally getting a logo?" she asked curiously as she pulled over one of the folding chair and sat in it. There were other things she was curious about, but this one had her attention at the moment. Enough to not notice that a certain polar bear dog was waiting by the door for her fishy rewards for helping.

"Oh...uh...I was thinking a sign to hang over the door? I'm not sure about a logo, yet." She'll come up with one, though.
Julie's eyes drifted towards Naga and she smirked a bit, pointing at the polar bear dog with the end of her brush.
"We have a mascot already. Maybe it'll be her as the logo?"

"Come on, Naga. Just the usual fish." Sighing, Korra leaned to the side of her chair to let Naga pass to get to the catch. At least it would occupy the polar bear dog instead of her nosing at Julie.
Something her animal companion seemed to be doing to most the people Korra talked to.
"Hey, I'm all for it. But I'm pretty sure Jack would be partial to Baby Tooth being the official mascot." Putting her arms up on the counter, Korra looked over the various colors Julie had available.

Julie didn't mind the nosing. Naga was a fascinating animal. "What is she, anyway?"
The colors Julie had could make a ridiculously huge rainbow. There were all manner of blues and reds and greens and there were some empty pots Julie used to mix other colors.

"Naga’s a polar bear dog. She’s the only tame one that I know of." Hearing her name, Naga turned around, half a fish hanging out of her mouth. After realizing she wasn’t being summoned, that half disappeared as she continued eating. Once she was done, a simple jerk of Korra’s head brought her over to them.
"You’re one of the few foreigners I’ve seen that do art." There were only two that came to mind, one of them was probably a professional artist. "Is that what you did before Jack hired you?"
no subject
"Mind if I practice drawing her someday? I don't want to make her look ridiculous." Julie watched the way Naga moved, looking at Korra again. "Is it okay if I pet her?"
At Korra's question, Julie shook her head. "No. There's really no room for it back home. At all. No one really cares. It's just a hobby."
no subject
"Well, I know people care here. There’s this guy at the Lantern clinic that draws, paints, sculpts- all of it." After finding out that earthbending and waterbending were a kind of cheating way to sculpt, Korra just gave up on art entirely.
"But hey, it’s a good hobby to have when there’s down time at the shop, huh?" Korra was still getting used to the new layout. Up until Finnick left, it was all managed at his suite and now Jack bought this huge shop to keep it going.
(ooc: i feel like an ass. feel free to ignore)
That being said, sometimes she wished she had the Polaroid Camera the Boneys back home walked around with. That would be super. Her walls would be decorated with everything she found beautiful about the city, and that's a lot.
"What's your friends name? The guy that sculpts and all that?" She may try to meet him.
let's be asses together then :3c
At the term ’friend’, Korra gave a half-squint with one eye. Hearing that word and putting Kyle next to it seemed kind of out of place. "Kyle. Rayner; he’s actually one of the Lanterns at the clinic. He’s usually the one that gets all the kids together in the art room."
Something that Korra kind of messed on big time during her first day there.
She blinked and abruptly asked "Are you satisfied with your art when you’re done?" That had been something she noticed about Kyle and wondered if it Julie felt the same way, or if it was how all artists felt.
