She's not wrong that it's the most he has right now, and the point makes Bruce uneasy. He doesn't dwell on it, intentionally focusing on what Korra says next, the practical concerns a far easier topic of discussion for him.

"Letting him out is never the issue." There's a subtly dark undercurrent to his words that Bruce quickly reins in before continuing, not wanting to inflict it on her. And not wanting to expose that side of himself, his self-aware disgust something deeply private to him.

"It's keeping him in that's difficult. But if I just-- if there's a threat nearby? It's like all I have to do is exhale. Let it in. I saw it, but I didn't need to see it." Bruce has always known just how easy it is for him to change.

"And I thought my short temper was bad." She said jokingly, if not somewhat wryly. For her, anger was bubbling just below the surface in wait for the wrong thing to be said; or misheard and/or misunderstood. But it came out in varying degrees, and now she saw why it was a big concern for Bruce. There was only one level of anger that broke through and it was the same every time.

Finally, all these random, remote locations made more sense to her. All to keep others safe just in the off-chance that something happened. Like the satellite crash, the spectres, or some other dangerous occurrence.

A part of her wanted to ask why he even bothered helping her since he's painfully aware of how dangerous he can be, but she withheld it and instead asked "Are you going to keep trying to help people, or keep up-" She gestured with her hand at the landscape around them "this."
