And as much as he can find people to spar with, as much as his healing is in better form than it had been at home, as much as he's worked with as many of his skills as possible... great furies, it would be good for him to have someone who might be able to give him more of a workout.
And if she did, well, he's under the impression she might need some lessons in control. He might be the most qualified to give her that.
However, when he came across her while walking in Water Sector, that particular form of traveling on water was definitely not one he'd seen before. With barely a thought and flick of effort, he put up a windcrafting veil and kicked into the air, and trailed along after trying to puzzle out just what she's doing. Handily, it was along the path home. When she finally landed, however, that splash made him roll his eyes. (Then again, if he were totally honest, he could be that lazy when he was her age.)
He silently landed near a fence not far away, slightly off to the side, and dropped the veil. He'd totally been there the whole time, right?
With a gesture half beckoning, half closing his fist, the water left on the ground gathered itself into a sphere. Another faint flick, and it poured itself gracefully back into the river. "Need a hand drying off?"
The answer is probably no. But he's entertained.

"No, thanks. I got this." she said as a simple motion downwards with both her arms caused wind to bluster about her clothes and hair in one quick, strong gust. That was only one arm's doing though, the other actually waterbended away any stubborn moisture and flung it to the wind to be dispersed.
Once the flapping sounds of clothes died down and her hair fell back into place, Korra crossed her arms. "You're not a waterbender." She pointed out through a cocked smirk and put most of her weight onto one leg to make a pose.
To any of the other foreigners, it would have looked like waterbending, but difference was noticeable to someone who's discovered the talent at four years old and has been honing it since.
That and he didn't look like he belonged to the Water Tribe. That was that too.
"Water magic?" asked with the thought of Kaldur in mind.
