Does whatever a spider can...
Characters: Spider-Man (1610, Parker edition), and YOU!!!
Date: 11/30
Location: all around the city
Situation: Peter's feeling better and is doing a few laps around the city via rooftops in hisunderwear torn up costume
Warnings/Rating: TBA
It felt good to be out of the suite. It felt good to be running around, jumping from rooftop to rooftop like he used to back in New York. Peter had spent enough time sitting around in recovery mode, and more than enough time being restless and wanting to wander the streets. It was a new feeling that he'd never quite had before; When you're busy every night fighting off muggers and burglars and masked mad men, you crave the days when you can just sit at home, do homework, read The Hobbit... And now Peter found himself suffering somewhat the opposite. With no homework and no Hobbit, what could he fill his R&R time with? Nothing but a restless mind with a million questions and zero answers.
So running around in his red and blue pajamas and mask seemed to help, as torn up and dirty as they still were. At least it made him feel productive. His webs were being saved, however; first he needed to scout out what was around the city that could be used to make more. Which was probably for the best... As healed up as he was, he didn't really want that wound in his side splitting wide open and gushing his insides out onto the streets below while he did his swinging around. Jumping across the rooftops at least gave him an easy stop option if he needed it.

He leaned forward slightly, giving his head a slight head tilt that indicated his curiosity. Was Vic assuming that Spidey was new to the turtle? It was a fair enough assumption, he supposed. Not going on patrols and not making any Spider-Man themed video posts to the network would make it hard to think otherwise.
"I generally try not to go outside without at least a nice trench coat on me. Though I'm not gonna lie- I'd love to find a laundromat somewhere."
no subject
He didn't think Spidey was new, he just hadn't run into any of the Spider-men in person on the turtle yet.
"Sadly, both trench coats and laundromats are in short supply on the turtle. We're stuck washing by hand and without stylish coats."

At Vic's comment, Spidey snapped his fingers in a kind of 'Well, darn!' kind of gesture. "There goes plan A. Guess I know what I'm doing Saturday night!"
no subject
Victor laughed a little. "I've got to ask now. What was plan A?"

He raised himself up slightly, looking out over the edge of the building as though there might be something to see down there. There wasn't anything, but it was an odd force of habit to be keeping his eyes and ears open for trouble. Once he was sure nothing was happening, he slumped back down slightly.
"Do these places happen to have names? Or am I poking my head into the windows in search of washing machines?"
no subject
"Oh, sorry," Victor replied before listing a few of the places near where he lived that did clothing repair. "I'm pretty sure they all have wash services too."
no subject
There was also the matter of how to do something like that without giving away his identity. Not that the Kedan seemed like the rumor spreading type, but it was the principle of the thing.
"So!" He leaned back in a casual, almost completely relaxed pose. "You patrol here often, or am I just one lucky spider?"
no subject
"I usually patrol around here," he answer. "Though I probably won't be doing it as much if it keeps getting colder."
no subject
"Aha. Let me guess- Lizard genes gave you a particular need for heat?"
no subject
"I'm a mutant, not a lizard. The cold's not good for me though."
no subject
Parker, I think you're only making it worse. Sometimes, he really hated the way his mouth just ran off without warning.

With a masked frown, Spidey reached up to rub anxiously at the back of his neck. He'd obviously poked at something tender, and if things kept going south, he was fully prepared to move on in his little city trek. "Sorry."

He was definitely up for continuing patrol. Not that Spidey was looking for action or for some mugger to web up. He just needed to do something. "There any particular hot spots in this city, or do the locals like to switch things up when they can?"
no subject
"Metal Sector has the most crime. Water's got next to none. The other three are all in between," he replied, smiling a little at the phrasing.
no subject
He drew in a breath before stretching his neck from side to side. Metal sector has the most. Of course. That was only the one that he lived in-- Or was supposed to live in, anyway.
"Well, then!" Spidey gestured for Vic to lead. This was his night of exploration, after all, and he had yet to learn his way around. "Shall we?"
no subject
"Lets get going. Hopefully we won't find anything too annoying to deal with," he said, taking off running for the edge of the roof. When he reached it, he jumped and landed on the side of the next building. A quick glance back to make sure Spidey was following and Victor started climbing up the side of the building.

With one final stretch to work out that kink in his shoulders, Spidey launched himself after Vic, running and leaping over the edge of the roof onto the next building. Nodding at Victor as though assuring him that he could keep up, off they went.
"Is there even a local police force around here?"
no subject
He waited until they reached the rooftop and were on the way to the next to answer. "There is, and they don't particularly like us fighting crime."
no subject
It was easy enough for Spidey to keep up with Vic's pace as they headed for the next rooftop over. Even though the rooftop jumping isn't his usual method of transportation, there was definitely something to be said about the rush it provided.
"Hah! Do they ever? If we're not fighting crime or helping people, we're avoiding local law enforcement."
