Situation Hayley attacked Superman and some people are not entirely thrilled about it + she has some explaining to do.
Warnings/Ratings: PG-13 for violence, language, possible references to homicide, suicide, pedophilia, etc. idk it's Hayley.

Tony can’t say that he truly believes that there’s no danger to anyone else, but that suspicion is based on pessimism and paranoia rather than on any belief that Hayley’s lying to him. This city isn’t safe. The people in it aren’t safe.

So he’ll be ready. He and JARVIS. They’ll watch. They’ll listen. And if anyone attacks the building, they’ll be ready.

“All right.” The interrogation, such as it was, is over. Already his thoughts turn toward the defenses he can put in place and the timetable on which he has to work to do so. “There’s a comm system in the building. If you need me, use it. If I’m not in my office, JARVIS will patch you through to me.”

'All right?' That's it? Hayley's expecting a lot more questions, possibly as a result of dealing with Jor-El and Bruce. Tony is a refreshing break from that and she gives a small smile in spite of the situation not particularly calling for one.

"Thanks. I'll just stay for a couple more days, okay? Then I'll go back to my suite." It seems like a decent compromise, though she's not entirely sure what she's compromising on. "Maybe I could get that weapon thing you've been working on for me? So I have something?"

“Yeah, you can have it.” It’s done. It’s been sitting on his desk in his workshop, awaiting delivery. “Why don’t you go get settled in whichever room you’re taking over and give me a buzz? I’ll bring it down then.”

Tony doesn’t hold much of anything sacred, but if there is such a thing, it’s his creative space. Only the most trusted of individuals get an invitation to his personal workshop and most of those individuals aren’t here in Keeliai. The makeshift replacement he’s made for himself here hardly compares to the one he remembers at home, but some habits are hard to break.

Hayley smiles at the words. How Tony Stark, of all people, has come to be such an important figure in her life is beyond her. She has more gratitude towards him than three fourths of the rest of the turtle combined and he doesn't even seem to care about any of it. Nothing owed, nothing lost.

"Awesome, thanks." She waits a beat, in case he has anything to add. If not, she'll just be following his instructions and on her way down to the second floor.

Tony gives her a nod, then turns to head back to his office. He has no more to say on the subject. He’ll bring the weapon down to her, though. It will take a bit of time, thirty minutes. Maybe forty-five. He’ll get distracted by something on his desk or an errant thought will need jotted down so he doesn’t forget to work on it later. But he will remember within the hour and he’ll drop it off with some instructions on how to use it. Then it’ll be back to work. It’s always back to work. His is never done.
