Characters: Darcy and You!
Date: Throughout January
Location: Here, There and Everywhere
Situation: Various, Scenario Suggestions and Specific Starters below.
Warnings/Rating: Some drinking and fun having but nothing explicit.
a. Darcy has discovered the existence of the Brazen Turtle and as such was taking full advantage of its presence. She strolled into the establishment with ease and slid up to the bar. She ordered a serving of whatever was on tap, nothing fancy of fruity for her tonight. She had a smile for most everyone around and would gladly strike up conversation with anyone interested.
b. She'd been working for Stark Industries for several weeks and as such had collected a few paychecks. That could only mean one thing; shopping. She happily fluttered from shop to shop in the various markets, and after not too long had several bags full of purchases. But, due to the winter weather things were a bit icy. With all of her purchases Darcy missed a particularly icy patch and slipped. Her bags went flying to the ground, as does she. "Oh, damn it!" She seethed and quickly went after the fallen purchases.

Closed | Julie
"Hey. Can I get you anything? Celebrate your newly returned eyesight?"
Re: Closed | Julie
The familiar voice was a good one to hear so she stopped, putting her pencil in the book before closing it. She already had a drink with her, mostly gone, so another wouldn't hurt.
"That's sweet of you. Sure. Why not?" She pointed behind the bar at a bottle with a foreign label on it. It was their cheapest and Julie's favorite.
"A shot of that. It tastes like funnel cake. Almost." It still had that alcoholic aftertaste but who cares?
no subject
And with that she ordered two of the bottles, one for Julie and one for herself. As she took a sip, Darcy peeked curiously down at Julie's sketch pad. "You like to draw?"
no subject
It's nothing exciting. The interior of what looks like a jet, only there's a mess of Stuff in it. All manner of stuff from dolls to books to snow globes and records. There are small sketches of places around town and a few of one Raleigh Becket. These ones have more detail, certainly more care is put into them.
"It's a hobby." A distraction. A thing to do when she's stressed or anxious or wants out of her own head for a moment. "One that's extended to my walls in my suite."
no subject
Darcy nods as she looks over the various sketches. It's admirable in her eyes because most of drawings she might do would be little more than stick figures. She points at one of the sketches of Raleigh. "This guy right here. He's someone on the turtle, right? I think I've seen him, but with more hair."
She glances up at Julie. "He's a friend of yours?"
no subject
Meanwhile Jax probably looked as if he could swagger right off the page.
"They both sound exactly alike, along with the alarmingly identical appearances. Sure as shit threw me for a loop when I was blind and met Jax. I had no idea what was going on for a minute."
no subject
"So. They're still two different people that just happen to look the same? They're not two of the same person?"
Because that she's already come to terms with thanks to Thor.
Closed | Donna
"Hey."
Darcy rapped her fingers on the top of Donna's desk and grinned at her. "Hey. Do you have any plans for tonight?"
a | Brazen Turtle
no subject
"Having an eventful evening?"
no subject
"Been a quiet one 'til now. How's about we drink to it stayin' quiet so's we can get to know each other a bit more?"
no subject
"So. How long have you been on the turtle here?"
no subject
"You been here much longer than that?"
no subject
It's strange to think about, really. She'd be prepped for a certain level of weirdness thanks to working with Jane, but getting plucked out of your world to be stuck on the back of a giant turtle...it just wasn't something anyone get used to. Even after two months.
"I'm pretty disappointed with myself that it took me this long to find somewhere to get a drink."
no subject
"So, this turtle bullshit: You believe what they're sayin' about it?"
no subject
She'd seen and heard stranger things thanks to working with Jane, after all. If gods and myths can be real, and other worlds were definitely real, why couldn't this? Darcy could buy almost everything she'd learned about her temporary home except one thing.
"But that whole being possibly being dead thing? Not so much. I think I'd know if I were dead or not."

b because why not?
So it couldn't come as too much of a surprise when he offered this particular young lady a hand. "Miss. Are you all right?"
why not indeed
Slowly, she sat up. She glanced at the offered hand, and the owner of said hand, then shrugged. Reaching out she took his hand and used it as leverage to get back on her feet. "Thanks. Sorry you had to see that."
no subject
Being a man of few words, that was a pretty big speech for him, and instead of saying anything else, he started helping her gather her things up. "It'll be good to get to warmer places again."
no subject
Personally, Darcy would be fine with a rock to hide under, but she settles for collecting her things. "Does it do that?" she asked. "I mean, go to more tropical locations. I kind of get here mid-winter weather."
no subject
"It got cold not long after I showed up. I think the turtle just... went somewhere cold. Hopefully it'll be goin' somewhere warmer again soon," he said helpfully, offering her one of her dropped packages back. "It was a bit of a shock, since it had been July when I left... where I came from."
Well, sort of. Long story.
no subject
"I'm just lucky I have a friend here that's too nice for his own good, and got me this coat."
no subject
"Elizabeth makes knitted things, too, if you need other things. Gloves, scarves, hats."
As a matter of fact, most of what Booker was wearing right this very moment were things Elizabeth had made for him - brightly colored, somewhat mismatched, but definitely quite warm.
no subject
"Is Elizabeth your girlfriend?" she asked curiously. She couldn't help asking, really. Guys that looked like him did not go around wearing brightly colored knitwear unless someone they cared about made it. At least in Darcy's experience.

Darcy liked working for Tony, and she was actually doing what she'd studied for, but sitting at a desk, trying to figure out just what it was she needed to be advertizing at that moment...well, it got a little tedious. So she clocked off for an early lunch and made a beeline for the break room. She had put her leftover noodle dish from dinner the other night into the fridge there and was ready to chow down.
Except that when she opened the fridge she was greeted only by some funky looking cheese plate and half a bottle of flat soda water. She stared at the woefully empty fridge and seethed.
"Who the hell ate my lunch!?"
