Situation: The rescue of MIA undercover agents placed by Eshai 10 years prior, now to be retrieved under Evandau’s orders. No man or woman left behind!

Following a very brusque but instructive meeting with Emperor Evandau, complete with pictures of the targets, the six heroes are clear as to what their mission is. Plunge to the hidden, aquatic city of Vian Thax and recover three long-lost agents who have fallen out of contact and are presumed endangered or compromised. How it’s accomplished is not quibbled over, at least not with Evandau. That’ll be done once the chosen foreigners manage to infiltrate the sunken settlement and plan from there. Assuming they can actually work together, anyhow…

Equipment for underwater travel is granted to those who cannot do so under their own means, a map and limited supplies are given, the way is pointed. To Vian Thax!

ARRIVAL AND ESTABLISHMENT

Sneaking inside of an underwater city is no easy feat. First you have to find a way through the air-providing shield surrounding the place without drawing attention. Then you have to locate a place to lay low and otherwise establish as a makeshift base of operations; somewhere to sleep, stash supplies and make plans (and possibly harbour their intended rescue targets?) There’s a great deal of work to do and little time to do it in!

INVESTIGATION

Just charging into the city with mayhem, violence and fire might be the idea some heroes here, but it’s been vetoed for a more tactical way of getting things done. Those in the group who raise little suspicion by way of their appearances (read: not Kurt or Naugus) have opted to split into small groups and go sniffing around for info. Talking to the locals or the authorities, exploring the city, casing out the prison and other facilities and asking questions without coming across as too suspicious is the name of the game. Don’t get caught, sleuths.

Once intel is gathered, it’s time to plan. How will they proceed? What’s the gameplan for freeing the imprisoned and sneaking out the suspicious? Time for our intrepid gang to discuss the options.
