open log for anybody who needs somebody to talk to!
Characters: Bro Strider + YOU.
Date: Backdated to May 3rd.
Location: Brazen Turtle.
Situation: Bro will make you a drink at the bar because shit who doesn't want that. Who knows, he will undoubtedly join you too.
Warnings/Rating: Bro Strider is in this log.
[ Right, so. With things being intense over the past few days and people still recovering from all of the excitement, there is still a little business trickling into the bar, and it just so happens it is Bro's night to finally run the bar tending shift. He's been doing this for awhile, but since things have been squirrely lately, he's not been asked to work all the time. In fact, most people are assuming the bar has been closing early due to being short staffed at the moment.
BUT ANYWAY, Bro's here— working diligently. It's nice to kind of get his mind focused on something else other than the city being at a high risk state at the moment. People trickle in and order themselves more drinks than usual, and although the foreign menu of drinks is odd, Bro's got this down pat. He could make a sick, alien-alcoholic drink in seconds. The guy learned quick.
Tonight is slow for one reason or another. Bro's the only bartender on staff... and.. for some odd reason, there is what appears to be a giant, white seahorse curled up at the entrance of the bar. It has a saddle and reigns on it, as if it were to be somebody's pet.
It just so happens that giant seahorse— or skyhorse, rather, is Bro's current ride.
How the fuck did he get that.
Anyway, he has his back turned. If you're going to order a drink, you might need to get his attention.
Get his attention? Ask about the weird seahorse outside? Friend of his and just stopping by to check in? Vent to him about your sad life stories? He's horrible at being sympathetic and giving love advice.
Perfect. Just what you need.]

He raised his eyebrows slightly.]
Korra's not in, is she?

Bro was fucking weird, but he couldn't get enough of it.
Swiftly, he turns around then promptly positions himself in front of Mako. ]
Oh?
Wanting to attempt to win fair maiden's heart tonight?
[ chin in hands. ]
Shit ain't gonna fly, Makbro.
Where are your motherfucking daisies? Bitches love daisies.
Ain't gonna surprise a chica without daisies.
'Least not on my clock, yo.
[ Bro. Bro please. ]

Also, stop. I don't have time for the weirdness today. It's kind of important.

[ Mako, you're so cute. No time for weirdness, and you've started a conversation with Bro. Are you kidding me right now.
Bro didn't know half of their situation at all. Nothing. And as much as he loves getting details about people, this was one subject he knew absolutely nothing about. They were good at keeping their mouths shut about it.
And so, he just would say things— mainly for reactions. Those showed the truest character and facts. ]
no subject
Probably because if Bro found Korra first, she'd get ideas and he really wanted to focus.]
Not that. Why are you so interested in our relationship?
no subject
[ Legitimately. That's it. That's the only reason. They're both cute. There was no rhyme or reason for Bro's weird, piqued interest in them. He was Team Makorra. Fight him.
Also, he was sensing vibes and getting some hints from Korra that she may possibly like him, so there is that— that big brotherly sort of want to have his almost-adoptive-sister-thing happy. Big bro instincts. He's got nobody else to papa here.
Bro finally drops his hands to the bar table and puts his weight to his right side. ]
Why not be a nosy asshole 'bout something like that.
I'm a nosy asshole to begin with. Spice up the situation with sick, angsty, young romance and shit, dog. It's like shoujo drama up in this grill and that's up my goddamn alley.

[Mako sighed, and stared at the man in front of him, with his weird glasses, and his weird way of speaking. How had Korra even become friends with him? Because Mako would have ignored him and walked away, normally.
But now his confusion was winning over his need to know what, exactly, Bro was like.]
So all of this is just to be nosy about Korra? And me, I guess.
no subject
Today is one of those days. She's lost allies; friends even, which for Nilin are far and few.
Another thing is she really wants to know what the fuck that big ol' horse thing parked out front is. And so she walks in, still glancing back at the creature as she goes and looks to Bro.]
Uh, just what is that out there, exactly?

Barkeep!
