SIEGE TO THE PALACE
Characters: Everyone involved in the player missions
Date: 18th May
Location: The Palace
Situation: It's been too long since Malicant took over the palace, and it's time the foreigners did whatever they could to take it back. They might find out more than they had expected to find in the process.
Warnings/Rating: Fighting and shit? Please poke me if this needs to be changed.
Maybe you heard Superman suggesting they met up on the radio, trying to get as many people possible together for an attack that might prove unsuccessful, but would at least distract Malicant enough to get some information. Maybe you agreed to meet up and were talked into an open attack. Maybe you were talked into it by someone, dragged into a fight you wouldn't normally be part of otherwise Maybe your friends and you decided to take matters into your own hands, get together to try to attack the palace yourself and get something out of it.
Whichever the reason, there is no going back now. There's a yell, and suddenly... the attack begins.
[OOC: An open thread for the initial attack and threads for each mission will be added to this log. The idea is for a big battle to start with, and the teams to be divided naturally. Like I said, everyone gets a chance to fight! I added a questions thread just in case, if you aren't sure about something one of us will do our best to answer.]

This? This was completely out of his league.]
Right! [He said as he reached for some arrows made by himself: ready to knock them out, but not to hurt badly and definitely not to kill. Aiming at their heads was easy... but they were apparently more durable and stronger than he'd given them credit for.]
I have a net arrow, but I can't use it on them while we're surrounded! [Basically because they'd end trapped, as well.]

At Invincible's urging, he raced to the guard that had taken a swing at the guy and spun his helmet around 180 degrees. It was a stop gap, but he didn't feel right beating up a brainwashed kedan yet.]
So we get un-surrounded! Just -
[Leaning to the side in blur, Bart watched as the guard (who had figured out why the lights went out rather quickly)whiffed his sword through the air that his shoulder had previously occupied.]
Conversing here!
[The guard found himself disarmed and on top of his similarly suddenly swordless compatriot. The blades were half-buried in the floor, grips still swaying. As for Bart, he was back in the same spot, as if he'd never left to take both weapons, jam them into the floor boards, and shove one guard into another.]
How many guards are in the palace again? Cause I'm pretty sure we've got their attention. Are. You. Guys. Brainwashed?

Fast runner guy--whatever your name is--can you help give me a little breathing room? And then arrow guy has something to shoot.
[Mark really should have learned their names before busting in here.
He ducks another punch. Okay guys this is getting old. Urge to punch back rising.]

If Fast runner can keep on taking their weapons- [He shots one of his knocking out-arrows straight to the face of the guy who's punching the young man in the bright costume- brainwashed or just dumb? the world may never know] this will be even easier. Can't the two of you go fast? If you push them all together long enough for me to shoot them and tie them up we can figure out we'll have at least some of them out of the trying-to-kick-or-ass business?
no subject
Bart continues going around as a vaguish blur, with words seeming to come from all over the room (and out in the hall, and in nearby rooms...), and, all the while, a pile of weapons accrues at Arrow-dude's feet.]
Arrow is kinda tak- enh screw it. You're Arrow. Someday you might have to slam an adjective in there, but you're the only one right now.
[And he finally stops with the last of the nearby weaponry, a rather interesting one-shot pistol with a dragon's mouth at the end of the barrel. Shrugging, he cocks it and aims at whoever's still standing.]
Have you ever tried to run with 300 pounds of guard and armor? It's not happening. Kedan are heavy. And dragging them fast enough to not get stabbed'd break bones.
no subject
[Finally free, he takes to the air, flying just above their heads so they can't all rush him again.]
Pfft, only 300 pounds? That's easy. But I think what he meant was trap them in one place by running around them. I can do that too, but with a name like "Kid Flash" I wouldn't want to intrude upon what seems to clearly be "your thing."
[Playful teasing while in life or death situations? That's just how superheroes roll, baby.]
no subject
Yeah, that's what I mean. If you do that I- [He scoffs, how many arrows does it take to knock one of these guys out? He'll run out of them at this rate. He has his spear, but in this situation he'd less more comfortable in a close range.] I mean, knocking them out it's the easy part.
...Or I could turn into an Elephant and stomp on them, but- uh- the space is limited.

[But he follows the suggestion, running loops around the still-standing soldiers and bunching them up. His voice is everywhere. ]
You. Know. If. I. Do. This. Fast. Enough. Tornado. Vacuum. No oxygen.
Definitely not an indoor power. I'll get clear when you shoot Ar- Arrow's now gonna work. It doesn't shorten, and it has that loooong O.
[This is pretty much how it goes, unless it involves legacies or greater beings. Sorry to disappoint.] What about Black Arrow?
no subject
I'd recommend "Menagerie" as a superhero name, but I'm pretty sure that's taken. At least in my world. Hmmm... bow-wielding animal names... Minotaur? Did they weild bows or was it axes? Were Centaur's the guys with bows?
[While he's thinking.] Think you're good now to do your thing, dude.
no subject
[But no, he's not a Party Pony. He's about to suggest Apollo (sorry, dad) or something similar to that but then he imagines Annabeth's laughing face and decides against it.]Let's skip the mythology for now, I'm fine with 'Arrow'.
[And speaking of arrows, since he's been given permission he simply gets a Hydra arrow (thank the gods he didn't use them all) and shots it towards the guards. In a matter of seconds they are tied up together, and pinned against the nearest wall.]
