TEL VISHAN BEACH PARTY

Location: The Shell 'Coastline' nearest the Water Sector
Situation: Baby Turtle Beach Party!

At the edge of Asti's shell there are coastlines of natural deposits that make up the closest thing to a 'beach' that they'll ever find in Keeliai. It's here that the official Tel Vishan Beach Party is set to take place. All turtle 'parents' will have gotten a message from their respective hatchlings about said party (perhaps a nice change from the whining and the temper tantrums).

Temporary shaded areas built with poles and sheets for weary parents or hatchlings who do decide to come, and some simple snacks and refreshments have been set up as well. There's a fishing net set up to act as a volleyball net for the day, and a ball waiting in the sand for some players.

The rest is up to those who come.

When Hawke was ten years younger he used to think like that. Now that his life is nothing but trouble, he sees it as a good day when he can do what he wants without cleaning up someone's mess or dealing with someone trying to kill him.

"Be careful what you wish far. Life has a funny way of giving it you."

"Life is pretty slow to grant my wishes." An unconcerned shrug of the shoulders as he starts to pull some water over to wet the sand.

"But it's always happy to hand out trouble."

Hawke steps over to Akito, just watching in silence for a moment while the boy gathers the water. This isn't exactly what Hawke had in mind when he thought party but then again he didn't really know what to expect for this.

"So...what now?"

[akito]

"Okay!" Akito only knows the bare basics of sand-castle building, but it seems very straightforward. "Normally people use buckets to mold the sand into the right shapes, but hands are good enough! So we just mold the wet sand like it's clay until it's the shape we want it to be."

"Alright, that I can do."

That sounds simple enough, and Hawke isn't above a childish game or two...or six. Rolling up the sleeves of his shirt, Hawke drops to his knees and grabs a clump of mud shaping it into a ball. Part of him can't help but think this would be more fun if alcohol was involved though.

Humming a tune under his breath, Akito debates what he wants to try building. A regular castle would be fun, but...

He settles for starting to build the basic shape of Keeliai's occupied palace, just for the hell of it, and figures Hawke should catch on fast enough.

Once the palace begins to take shape Hawke stops for a moment and tosses a glance back towards the city. Yep, he has no doubt what Akito decided to model this off of. Turning his head back towards Akito, he gives the boy a a bemused look.

"Think he might trade us for this one?"

[akito]

"I don't think his ego would fit," he laughs, cheating a little and using some Waterbending to try and stabilize the structure even more.

"Maybe if he lost it he could shed a few pounds." For the most part Hawke lets Akito do what he wants with the castle-in-the-making. Sometimes he'll push some sand over here to keep anything from collapsing or does his best to level out the sides and the wall, but mostly Hawke lets Akito enjoy his fun. Who knows when the kid will ever get to do it again.
