TEL VISHAN BEACH PARTY

Location: The Shell 'Coastline' nearest the Water Sector
Situation: Baby Turtle Beach Party!

At the edge of Asti's shell there are coastlines of natural deposits that make up the closest thing to a 'beach' that they'll ever find in Keeliai. It's here that the official Tel Vishan Beach Party is set to take place. All turtle 'parents' will have gotten a message from their respective hatchlings about said party (perhaps a nice change from the whining and the temper tantrums).

Temporary shaded areas built with poles and sheets for weary parents or hatchlings who do decide to come, and some simple snacks and refreshments have been set up as well. There's a fishing net set up to act as a volleyball net for the day, and a ball waiting in the sand for some players.

The rest is up to those who come.

[Zuko lets out an exasperated sigh.]

But now she won't stop asking about it!

[Really Wan. Did you have to mention sex in front of the turtle?]

[raavashing]

[Wan rolled his eyes and threw his hands up.]

Then explain it to her. Get it over with.

[Zuko gapes at Wan. ... He can't believe you.]

[lordhotman]

What?! I. No!

[Asklghds. How is he supposed to do this?! How do you give THE TALK to a turtle! IN PUBLIC. ... You try to pass the buck.]

You had three hours of practice! You do it!

[raavashing]

[Wan leaned back, raising an eyebrow.]

Do you not know how sex works?

[lordhotman]

[Zuko gives Wan a look.]

Of course I know how it works!

[Zuko then looks over at Yin again before slumping in defeat at something she says.]

Okay, fine.

[raavashing]

[Wan already served his three hours. Zuko can field this one.]

Then what's the problem?

[That was an honest question. Wan was reluctant only because he'd been through it before. The Avatar dropped himself fluidly back into the sand. Waiting.]

Animals have sex differently than humans, so if you need help with that part, I don't mind helping if you get stuck.

[lordhotman]

I don't have a problem. What's your problem?

[Zuko folds his arms in what could be interpreted as a pout. He then slides his gaze towards Yin and sighs. He supposes he should get this over with.]

Okay, so... when a person, or a turtle, love each other very much...

[No no... that doesn't sound right. Zuko puts a hand to his chin and starts to pace. Trying to figure out how to word this. How would uncle do it?]

Sex is a lot like... kissing. With your butt.

[Yeah that sounds about right.]

You exchange a little spit, and then a baby happens.

[Wan did not need Yin spreading that around like wildfire. Warily, he waved at he turtle.]

Great Turtle Yin, please come over here. Your human Zuko does not know how sex works. It seems he is too young and has been lied to by his parents.

[lordhotman]

[Yeah see.. he told you you should have...WHAT?!]

I KNOW HOW SEX WORKS!

[He's just bad at explaining it. And the entire beach probably just heard him.]

[raavashing]

No. You don't. Sex is nothing like kissing with your butt. And you don't exchange spit. Well, humans don't.

[Fish sort of did.]

And it doesn't really matter if they love each other, either. Sex isn't about love. It probably feels better if you love the other person, but honestly, it's not really about love. It's more about having more babies to make sure there are more of the same animals around. To reproduce.

Some babies are born from eggs and some are born from inside a mother. The ones born inside a mother do not hatch like those born from eggs. There is pain, but it does not rip the mother apart, okay.

[Please don't believe Zuko that it's about kissing with your butt, Yin. Please.]

[lordhotman]

[Zuko folds his arms, giving Wan a cross look as he explains it. Yin seems to be paying attention to Wan at least.]

Doing it and explaining it are two different things okay? I didn't sign up for this!

[He then blinks and looks over at Yin.]

What? No. That's not what I meant. I like you, it's just...

[This is so awkward and he just wants to die right now.]

[raavashing]

[Hearing only one side of that conversation made the exchange very... well, awkward at best.]

Maybe you should draw her a picture.

[lordhotman]

A picture?

[Again Zuko looks at Wan like he's crazy. What is Wan going to suggest next? A demonstration!?]

[raavashing]

You do know what a picture is, don't you?

[Yeah, he's teasing. But Zuko just keeps inviting it.]

[lordhotman]

[Zuko scowls.]

I'm not drawing a picture.

[raavashing]

[Wan shrugged and started flattening the sand in front of him with one hand. Once it was to his satisfaction, he started drawing stick figures with a finger.]

Okay. So this is a human man and this is a human woman. The human man-

[He is going to go into explicit detail unless Zuko interrupts. be glad he's not a sandbender zuko. be very glad. there would be 3d models]

[Zuko just stands there with arms crossed and pretends like he's not listening. Though he does shift a bit uncomfortably as Wan gets into the details. His cheeks turning more than a little red.

Yin though seems to really be into it. She's watching and making comments that makes Zuko's eye twitch slightly.]

[This time Yin is making comments that Wan can hear and unlike Zuko he doesn't look the least embarrassed by them. He's very calm and takes his time to draw out simple guides on how it works and to write down how long various animals take to give birth. He doesn't know why some animals have more babies faster than others. That's just one of the mysteries of the world. But it probably has to do with how long some animals live. There were several questions about details that Wan shrugged and admitted he didn't have an answer for but he didn't think they were that important.

And then Rio'era trundled up and said very loudly into the mental space around her:

Eshai said that Korra said sex was for fun not just making babies. And that it feels really good and you should do it with someone else that wants to do it with you even if they're a boy and you're a boy or they're a girl and you're a girl. You're a boy and girl, aren't you, Wan? Because Raava's a girl and you're a boy and she's inside you so you're both, right? Does she enjoy sex? Do you enjoy sex?

Wan, for his part, was now speechless and staring in horror at the turtle he was responsible for.]

[lordhotman]

[Well.. the part about gestation isn't AS bad. So Zuko starts to relax a little bit. ... That is until that other turtle comes over and spouts out what Korra had said. And now Zuko turns looks over to STARE at Eshai and then at Wan.

Yin looks over at Eshai and bobs her head.

Zuko said that sex is like butt kissing and-

AGH! I can't take this anymore!

[Zuko throws his hands up in the air and starts stomping off.

... Did I say something wrong?

[raavashing]

SEX IS NOT LIKE BUTT KISSING!

[Wan does not care if the whole beach can hear that. If nothing else got through the turtle's heads this day it would be that.

Unfortunately Rio'era interrupted with:

But Eshai said that Korra said you could kiss butts when you have sex. Why don't you like butt kissing? Is butt kissing fun or not?

And then Wan was done, too.]

[Rio'era watched her human get up and walk in the other direction before nodding. Okay!]
