So little to think about, so much time. Wait no, scratch that. Reverse it.
Characters: Aang and Zuko, Sokka and Aang
Date: Shortly after that kiss
Location: Aang's house
Situation: After walking in on that kiss, and walking out on Katara, Aang just goes home. / Then he goes out again, seeking advice.
Warnings/Rating: Aangst
The house is empty, save for one small monk child and his pet lemur. In theory it should have a banished Fire Prince in it as well, but Zuko had other ideas
Other ideas that involved kissing Wan, which in and of itself was weird enough, but that's not what's hanging the most heavily on Aang's mind at this moment. No, he's rather a bit more fixated on watching his best friend's reaction to having also walked in on the kissing.
Aang's mind swam and his heart hurt. He felt, for lack of a better term, crushed.
And so he sat curled on his couch. The lemur on his shoulder attempted to comfort the boy by snuggling close, and every now and again fetching something random from various other parts of the house.

Tired and dragging his feet, Zuko came back to Aang's place. He was completely oblivious to the airbenders crushed feelings, so he passed him by without saying a word. Instead heading for his temporary room.

From the couch comes Aang's voice.
"You should have just told me."
no subject
"Told you what?"
no subject
He shifts on the couch so as to peer over it and look towards Zuko.
"I wouldn't have panicked and gone looking for you."
And then likely wouldn't have walked in on you during the whole kissing thing.
no subject
He really probably should have, but he thought Aang might have tried to stop him or something. After all he's still dangerous. But he had wanted to see Wan, to make sure he was okay. He definitely hadn't planned for... that.

Crushed.
Sad.
Pathetic.
That's our Aang right now.

"What's wrong with you?"

Says the pot.

Beat.
"Lying or bad at it."
no subject
"I know you better than you think I do."
Aang might not remember traveling with him, but Zuko did.

Aang doesn't really do snarky sarcasm well either. It just...doesn't become him at all.

"How would I know?! Do you have a thing for Wan or something?!"

New Thread, Move Down
There was a lot of meditation to be had, after all, but eventually he found himself with questions that no amount of soul searching could answer.
So Aang went off in search of a Guru.

Sokka hasn't been quite so scarce as Aang these days. With Katara feeling better and better each day (and therefore insisting that she didn't need the constant care and worry that an overprotective brother could offer), his focus has been less on spending time with her (though certainly he still was coming by because of Wan) and more trying to network with some of the people outside of the Avatar World. But he was still easy to find at home or in the Metal or Wood Sectors.
It just so happens that Sokka is at home today, partially to help bask in the glow of his spirit lantern. He's upstairs fiddling with his console and doing his best to understand the ins and outs of it.

Because...reasons.

His head shoots up towards the window. "AANG!?" He runs over to the window and opens it up, his eyes bulging open just a little bit. "What are you doing outside my window?!"
no subject
And judging by the ever diminishing ball of air he's currently balancing on, sooner would be better than later.
no subject
"So, what causes you to drop by... or, rather, not drop by?" Since, naturally, Sokka let him in rather than plummet one story downward.
no subject
"I need some advice. Relationship advice. Of a romantic nature."
Gosh this is awkward.
"Aloof and panda lilies aren't going to cut it this time."
no subject
He would laugh someone jokingly about Aang coming to him for relationship advice; he's now the second person to talk to him about such matters in the past few days. He would laugh, except he's the expert of such things, so it's only natural that people come. "Hey, being aloof and panda lilies were great advice, weren't they?" Yes, he'll defend that until the hippo cows come home. Even if he himself ignored his own advice when it later came to Yue and Suki both.
But all that said and done with, Sokka pulls over a chair, offering a seat before going to his bureaus to fetch something. "Come Aang," he says in a deeper voice while his back is turned. "Come into my office, and we can gladly discuss your relationship woes."
And as he turns around, suddenly there is no longer Sokka but reputed therapist Wang Fire.
And yes, Sokka has forgotten that this Aang would know nothing about the journeys and stories of Private Fire.

There's a pause, and then Aang just starts laughing. Because this, while surprising at first, has all the markings of classic Sokka.
no subject
"What's so funny?" Sokka suddenly says in his normal voice, thus being the fastest ever that he's managed to break character. "It's not like you haven't seen this befo—ooooooooooooooooooh." Yup. He smacks his forehead with the sudden realization, but oh well. That's no matter now.
"Never mind," he says again, this time with a deep falsetto to impersonate the illustrious Wang Fire. Sokka sits down at the edge of the bed, taking out a pad of paper and a pencil to start jotting down notes. "Tell me, Mr........ Aang, is it? Tell me what relationship problems you'd like to discuss."
no subject
"Thank you so much for making the time to see me on such short notice. I do hate to be a bother, after all, but you see..."
It was all so easy, this play pretend. It took the edge off the actual questions he had and made finding the answers a game.
"A dear friend of mine has found hi...themselves in a bit of a spot. Romantically. A romantic spot."
no subject
"Well then," Sokka says as he twirls the tip of his mustache with his fingertips, "that sounds like... not a problem at all, my boy! Why, I would say he... or she would be lucky to be in that position." No, he certainly did not hear Aang's slip... or at least pay attention to it. "So what then IS the problem?"
