So little to think about, so much time. Wait no, scratch that. Reverse it.

Characters: Aang and Zuko, Sokka and Aang
Date: Shortly after that kiss
Location: Aang's house
Situation: After walking in on that kiss, and walking out on Katara, Aang just goes home. / Then he goes out again, seeking advice.
Warnings/Rating: Aangst

The house is empty, save for one small monk child and his pet lemur. In theory it should have a banished Fire Prince in it as well, but Zuko had other ideas

Other ideas that involved kissing Wan, which in and of itself was weird enough, but that's not what's hanging the most heavily on Aang's mind at this moment. No, he's rather a bit more fixated on watching his best friend's reaction to having also walked in on the kissing.

Aang's mind swam and his heart hurt. He felt, for lack of a better term, crushed.
And so he sat curled on his couch. The lemur on his shoulder attempted to comfort the boy by snuggling close, and every now and again fetching something random from various other parts of the house.

After a few moments, Sokka finally finishes whatever thing he was messing with—almost certainly messing with the options and learning a bit more about the device—and subsequently heads into his bedroom and stretches his arms just a little bit. He's slightly tired, and he yawns just a little bit. "I could totally use a nap. This world must be getting to me." Sokka is looking at the window, sees Aang out there, and even waves... but then he decides that he's going to pursue that sleep thing. He starts pulling the sheets off the bed before finally realizing that something is amiss.

His head shoots up towards the window. "AANG!?" He runs over to the window and opens it up, his eyes bulging open just a little bit. "What are you doing outside my window?!"

Sokka looks at Aang with a rather shocking sense of disbelief. "You know, most normal people just use the door," Sokka answers, but nonetheless he gestures Aang into his apartment. In part, he didn't have much of a choice, but even if he did, Sokka wouldn't have turned Aang away. He likes the kid, and there certainly... seemed to be something on his mind anyway. Besides, sleep would hold out for a little bit, even if that means he'll yawn a little bit more than usual.

"So, what causes you to drop by... or, rather, not drop by?" Since, naturally, Sokka let him in rather than plummet one story downward.

Sokka definitely would appreciate the lack of damage to his things... but that's more the expectation Sokka normally has; he'd only have a strong reaction if there were damage.

He would laugh someone jokingly about Aang coming to him for relationship advice; he's now the second person to talk to him about such matters in the past few days. He would laugh, except he's the expert of such things, so it's only natural that people come. "Hey, being aloof and panda lilies were great advice, weren't they?" Yes, he'll defend that until the hippo cows come home. Even if he himself ignored his own advice when it later came to Yue and Suki both.

But all that said and done with, Sokka pulls over a chair, offering a seat before going to his bureaus to fetch something. "Come Aang," he says in a deeper voice while his back is turned. "Come into my office, and we can gladly discuss your relationship woes."

And as he turns around, suddenly there is no longer Sokka but reputed therapist Wang Fire.

And yes, Sokka has forgotten that this Aang would know nothing about the journeys and stories of Private Fire.

Well of course it's classic Sokka. Sokka did invent this alter ego, after all.

"What's so funny?" Sokka suddenly says in his normal voice, thus being the fastest ever that he's managed to break character. "It's not like you haven't seen this befo—ooooooooooooooooooh." Yup. He smacks his forehead with the sudden realization, but oh well. That's no matter now.

"Never mind," he says again, this time with a deep falsetto to impersonate the illustrious Wang Fire. Sokka sits down at the edge of the bed, taking out a pad of paper and a pencil to start jotting down notes. "Tell me, Mr........ Aang, is it? Tell me what relationship problems you'd like to discuss."

Sokka listens carefully in this situation. Of course, Sokka really didn't expect Aang to go into his rather formal state of being, but okay, he'll play that. He must be playing one of his silly games; after all, Wang Fire had absolutely nothing to do with Sokka's more sophisticated self-persona. But whatever; it worked, he supposes.

"Well then," Sokka says as he twirls the tip of his mustache with his fingertips, "that sounds like... not a problem at all, my boy! Why, I would say he... or she would be lucky to be in that position." No, he certainly did not hear Aang's slip... or at least pay attention to it. "So what then IS the problem?"

Ah yes, Mr. Wang Fire knows how this thing goes. He's seen it so many times... or at least heard about it so many times. "Ah, the classic love triangle, is it?" he says as he claps his hands next to his face. "Person A likes Person B, but Person B likes Person C instead. I hear this all the time in my vast clinical trials, I assure you." Whatever clinical trials Sokka is talking about is handwaved away, but really he's just staying in character to the fullest extent. "In my youth, I once felt the same way, a girl who would not give me the time of day until I was forced into a lie to get her to pay attention to me." Aang might know the specific circumstance Sokka refers to, when he and Aang lied about Sokka being the Avatar just to impress a girl. "Of course, it's not quite the same story exactly, but there are parallels, let me tell you.

"The real question is whether or not the person of your friend's affection has similar feelings in return!"
