EVENT | LANDFALL | EVIDET
Characters: ALL!
Date: January 28th to February 11th
Location: Evidet
Situation: Tu Vishan has washed up near the coastal city of Khatronma.
Warnings/Rating: Add warnings as needed.

The suddenness of the looming cliffs takes even the kedan by surprise, in spite of a number of them trying to plot their course with as much knowledge of the ocean’s currents as they already had. Tu Vishan makes landfall without any of the grace shown in previous times, bumping into the cliffs before finally coming to rest on the reef and rocks at the low tide around Khatronma.
Most of Khatronma's shores consist of steep iced cliffs, and once it becomes clear there is no threat, the residents of Khatronma oblige by establishing scaffolding across from the walls of their city to the turtle’s back. A customs area is quickly set apart, and the residents of Keeliai welcomed -- with some slight confusion. The Khatronmans are just as surprised by the unexpected docking as the kedan.

And, there he was again, making her heart flutter and her emotions rise. Raine had been right, there was no denying it, no matter how much she wanted to.
"I lied," She said quietly, not meeting his eyes, "About what happened in the Dreaming."

"You know what?" Dante stepped down from the heap. "I decided a long time ago that it didn't matter if that really happened. If you wanted to act like it never happened, you could, and you did. But it wouldn't have changed what I realized that day."
Just remember Valdis, you were the one who changed the subject.
"You're fierce, but you can be sweet sometimes. I can't explain, except you have a fire I haven't seen in a long time, and I never expected to see again." He kept a confident face, but he fiddled with his amulet.

She looked up into his eyes, "What do you mean?" Her tone was even and emotionless, but damn it, she felt everything except calm.

"I don't know yet. Some folks would call this love, but I'm not so sure. This is usually the part where I get slapped in the face, so your guess is as good as mine." That's a... directish confession? He's saying what's on his mind, so it must be honest.

Okay. He can roll with this. He dramatically leans over to kiss Valdis back. Just like those dancers she likes, he thought to himself. Perhaps it was a bit grand and overly dramatic, but that was just how he did things, and if she didn't like it, then this can be her fair warning.

"Oh, my god," She hissed, pushing him away and righting herself, "You are going to drop me if you try it like that."
She grabbed his hand and placed it on the correct spot on her back, "You need to support me here." Then she rose up to kiss him again, paused for a moment and pulled him further away from the cliff's edge before kissing him again.

oh, were you having a moment? NOT ANYMORE
He's been poking around for a while, gathering up a small armful of miscellaneous junk, and taking note of some larger pieces that he might want to come back for with his suit. It's like junkyard Christmas, and it's put Tony in a cheerful mood.
Which is good for Tony, but maybe not so good for Dante and Valdis, because when Tony's in a good mood, he tends to get up to all sorts of really, really annoying mischief.
Tony spots Dante near the edge of the cliffs, but he doesn't call out a greeting because Dante is talking with Valdis, who is not on Tony's Favorite People list right now. He goes back to scanning the ground for useful scrap for a few seconds, so it's only out of the corner of his eye that he sees Valdis lean in— and kiss Dante.
Wow, what?
But he's not hallucinating: as he watches, Valdis lectures Dante about proper dipping technique, and then they kiss, again.
Valdis and Dante. Okay. He never saw that coming.
Suddenly, his face splits in a
definitely evilgrin. My, what a nice romantic moment you're having, there, Dante. Sure would be a shame if something were to... happen to it.Loud enough to carry across the dozen or so meters separating them, Tony calls out, "is now a bad time to tell you that your fly is down?"
That's what you get for breaking into somebody's house and interrupting them with their boyfriend, Dante. You get to be the recipient of some long-overdue payback.
SUCK IT, NERDS
So he's been scouring when he notices Tony stop moving next to him, and he looks up, and then follows Tony's gaze to see just what's enraptured him so (probably something with a lot of engineering words).
Imagine his surprise - just imagine it - when he sees Dante and Valdis, sitting in a tree, kay eye ess ess eye en gee. Or, well, not in a tree, but the sentiment is close enough.
Tony's grin has a bit of the sadistic about it, and Gene immediately stoops to the ground, packing a few snowballs with the ground cover.
As Tony calls out, Gene wings one of the snowballs at Dante (he's got no beef with Valdis), and the rest follow, given a bit of a boost by a sudden prevailing wind. Yes! What a crazy random happenstance. It's certainly nothing to do with the glow of a white gem on one of his rings, no. Nothing whatsoever!
Okay, sure, he'd agreed to help Dante's brother. That didn't mean he'd absolved Dante of his horrible horrible cockblocking sin.
Re: SUCK IT, NERDS
He wanted to retaliate, but oh right he was having a moment. Damn this whole 'adulthood' thing. That, and he's already on thin ice with one of the few people who could actually help his brother.
So, he decided to be the bigger man, and laughed his ass off at the two of them. He wasn't going to give in to their trolling by getting mad, then they'd just do it again.

"What is this about?" She asked Dante quietly, not believing that Tony and Gene would attack him for no reason.
