A. [OPEN] Midnight Hotel, Wang Fire Sector entrance - 22 May, 11:15 am

It's a bright and cheery day. This world's equivalent of birds were singing merrily, and Sokka had had a very good night's sleep. He'd taken the day off of work in order to finish up things in the Sky Sector all ready to move in. And the first thing he did after eating a nice big breakfast (full of meat, of course) and otherwise cleaning up and getting ready was to step outside into that bright and cheery world.

And that's when the nickel dropped.

Sokka hadn't gotten more than three paces from the Fire Sector exit of the Midnight Hotel before someone (something?) hit him and hit him hard. Something that Sokka wouldn't have recognised, even if he had gotten a good look at the creature, brazenly runs into him, quickly digging into his shoulder with some wild claws. Normally, Sokka would have stumbled a bit and flailed rather wildly in some dramatic and comedic attempt to keep his balance. But there's none of that. Sokka practically goes stiff as a board, and the next few seconds are spent in super slow motion as the world tilts uncomfortably and he is sent to the pavement below, hitting his (very hard) head to the ground. And from there, he's unable to resist whaever the green(?)-skinned lizardman does to him. Because that's about the only view he gets of his assailant, the feet that keeps him attached to the ground... and even then, he moves quickly.

Before Sokka can even process what's going on, a few of Sokka's preciouses are taken—his soul gem, his coinpurse, and Boomerang.  It's almost up for grabs which one Sokka is regretting losing most.  Within seconds, the lizardman thing is off on his (her? its?) way, dashing off through the streets and pushing his (her? its?) way through crowds to get away scot-free.

As for Sokka, he... doesn't move.  He can't move.  He's just left there, unable to speak, unable to even react to this.  It's almost like he's been petrified, except any attempts to move him will reveal that his flesh isn't stone.  And he does have some ability to move his eyes and lips extremely vaguely.  And over the course of the first hour, he'll progress from being able to able to speak broken syllables to sentences again.

Oh won't you drag him back to the Hotel out of the street?

B. [OPEN] Midnight Hotel, Lobby - 22 May, afternoon and evening

"Well, today is... practically... ruined," Sokka stammers, still trying to get over the paralytic that the attacker's claws had injected into him.

Sokka is mobile, finally, able to move, but he's not exactly steady on his feet whatsoever.  In fact, saying that he's even walking straight at all is... presumptuous.  One moment, he's weaving left and right, the next he's desperately holding onto a handrail on the balcony just to keep from falling over.  And then when he tries to come down the stairwell, one misstep from a very bad and awkward foot placement means he's barrelling down the steps with a thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud at top speed.

After a moment, he vaguely waves his hand in the air, pointing to the ceiling... but really it's not quite vertical.  "I'm... alright.  I... meant... to do that..."  And for a brief moment, there's just no moment.  He's resting there, on the floor, before attempting to stand up and go plop himself in one of the lobby chairs.

"Someone remind me why I ever liked Keeliai?"

C. [CLOSED to Anton] Midnight Hotel, Room 1 - 23 May, 9:30am

It's the next morning, and a kedanese messenger will be running to the Midnight Hotel with Sokka's soul gem.  A messenger will deliver it to the front desk, saying that it was discovered off in the fields outside the city in the Woodsmen's domain, and it seemed a good idea to return it here since so many Foreigners were still staying here.  It just so happens that it's Sokka's.

As for Sokka, he's going to be in bed.  He may have full mobility back, but he's not going to be feeling well after having been away from his soul gem for that long.  Sokka had gotten a sense of being vaguely weary when away from the soul lanterns back while Malicant was still fishing around under the turtle, but not having the soul gem is making him fare far worse.  He's pretty much beset with a terrible headache, cramps, and a very sore shoulder.

D. [OPEN] Sky Sector - 25(?) May and beyond

And without too much fanfare, especially after all of the events of the previous days, Sokka decides to gather his friends and move to Sky Sector.  Or at least most of his friends.  That mainly includes him, his sister, Aang, and Toph.  There'll be a homewarming, of course, and the Foreigners are generally invited to come and check out the new digs.  Or just meet Sokka as he's coming out and stretching, enjoying the new environment.

The house is mostly made of wood, though there's a fair bit of stonework inlaid on the floors and walls; you can bet that the latter wasn't Sokka's own handiwork, but most of the former is his own.  The house is still a little sparsely furnished, but there's plenty of space to hang out in a common area inside the house.  There'll be food to eat and tea to drink if you come.

Z. [OPEN] - Choose Your Own Adventure!

"Hey. It's me." Most likely Toph figures that he's either dreaming or just coming out of one, so the word is more greeting in case he's waking up more than anything else. Honestly, it's kind of reassuring that he's talking at all, so she doesn't take it too seriously as she plops on the floor next to his bed, back leaning up against the mattress and frame. She's expecting he'll be a little more alert in the next couple of minutes.

Hoping, anyway.

She's not sure why she's there -- just that being there right then is important. So she stays.

It's kind of like cactus juice all over again -- except not really as funny. Toph raises a skeptical eyebrow, listening for the sound of wings just on the weird offchance, but as suspected, nothing. She sighs a breath out her nose, settling in against the mattress.

"Yeah. They do that. Just . . . try to get some sleep or something, okay?"

Apparently she means to stay where she is. Huddling up, shoulders shrugged and arms crossed, she closes her eyes.
