The Tavimbians continue to be welcoming to their guests, and while Foreigners are still required to carry their issued pass stamps while in Hatal, they are starting to become recognized. The stamps are made of a brassy metal, a little larger than a credit card, and inscribed with their information, their date of arrival, and whether they've had any run-ins with the laws in Tavimbi (it will be stamped accordingly by the authorities if such happens.)

OOC: There are starters in the comments for various areas of Hatal, or you can use the rest of the post for anything on Tavimbi which doesn't fit under those headings. All city descriptions, as well as NPC contacts for threading, can be found in the Tavimbi OOC post, which is currently stickied in the OOC comm.

Be sure to also check the March Itinerary for up to date happenings in Hatal, and to tag this entry with your character tag when you join in.

Obi-Wan had never seen such raw power as displayed in this man. Not even in Anakin, and that was saying saying something.

"You're starting to learn what it truly means to be a Jedi," Obi-Wan said with a smile as he moved more rocks into Galen's pile.

Where Kota had been lacking, Obi-Wan hoped to fill the gaps.

As a test of himself, Galen seizes the largest boulder of rubble he can with the Force, and squeezes his fist, causing the boulder to collapse in on itself, crumbling to smaller, compacted debris, which he then adds to the pile he's already working on.

It reminded him of the time he spent in what was left of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, clearing away the debris so that he could make his way further into the Temple, to find the Holocron of his father. It was the Force-projection of Kento Marek that had first given Galen hope of his own redemption. To turn away from the path Vader had put him on so many years ago.

"It's funny. I would've never even thought of myself as a Jedi, if I hadn't gone to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. I needed...something, anything I could find that'd connect me to my father, you know? I ended up finding a Holocron that...showed me what would've happened if I hadn't left Vader. It was something my father recorded before he and my mother fled to Kashyyyk, I think."

Really, all Galen wanted was a teacher, or a dad, or something. Some kind of positive influence to keep him on the right path.

There was a pause as Obi-Wan moved another boulder and considered Galen's words. He could only imagine what state the Temple, his home for as long as he could remember, was in. The holocrons once could only be accessed by the council members such as himself. The building was likely in ruins, just as the Order was.

As far as needing to find a connection to his father, no he didn't understand that. He'd felt no attachment to his parents as he had been raised without them.

"Your parents were fortunate to escape with their lives," Obi-Wan remarked. "You did the right thing by leaving Vader. Though sometimes doing what is right is the most difficult."
