July Catch All!
Characters:Date: JULY
Location: All over Keeliai
Situation: July catch-all
Warnings/Ratings: None, but possibly violence
A. Heather at the dojo
Heather starts going to the dojo in the early mornings, with her Spatha at her side. She's working mostly on forms, though if anyone wants to stop her and spar with her, she's more than willing to do so.
B. Heather at the Healer's Guild
Heather loves working a shift at the Guild, and will often pick up extra shifts here and there, because she's bored. But, she's got a gentle touch and likes learning about new herb healing.
C. Heather out and about
Heather can be found just about anywhere. She's going to be lurking around the Fire Sector, looking for houses of ill repute, to perhaps pick up a few nights worth of work.
D. Brigid at the shelter
With Erskine's disappearance, the running of the shelter has fallen to Brigid. And she doesn't mind it too much. She'd much rather answer to someone else, but until she finds someone to be the face of the shelter, she's it. Plus, it's cutting into her time with Jackie.
E. Brigid at the dojo
Brigid is getting back into Krav Maga. It's a nice routine to be in her mind. Plus, it means that she doesn't need to go running.
F. Brigid at the Hotel
Brigid can be found, most evenings, in the common area of the hotel, a few papers, a few books spread out around her. She's also got a huge book in front of her, as she translates. Other times, she's translating for someone else. But she's willing to be bothered.
G. CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
Just let me know which one you want!

He waits until the waitress has delivered their drinks and puts the obsidian knife with the pearl handle on the table. "It seems to make it easier to detect hotspots of dark energy, though it doesn't seem to be very reliable." His eyes find and hold Heather's. "Have you seen something like this here before, or know anyone who uses such objects?"
no subject
Cautiously, she reaches out and takes the knife, turning it over in her hands.
Unfortunately, she knows nothing of the craftsman, but she'd like to. "It's an unusual weapon." She says, studying the blade and the handle. "Unfortunately, darling, I haven't seen anything like it. Here or at home." As for using, well, many things can be used as a divining rod, which is what it sounds like. Not that she's really comfortable explaining herself and how she knows that.

"That's too bad," Kylo says, picking up the knife and tugging it back into its place at his belt. He feels better for having it back in his possession, and safely out of sight.
"I had hoped someone who has been here for longer than me would have seen it before." He pauses, frowns slightly. "Although, now that I think about it, I don't know if you've been here for longer. I assumed, since most everyone seems to have been here for longer." Assumptions are, of course, foolish, and at times downright dangerous. He should know better. "I've been here since May. Well, April, actually, with a short interruption."
no subject
"This and the hospital, and I'll have my time properly filled." And herself, but that's a separate thing.
no subject
"Ah," is all he says, a bit flustered again now. "I didn't realize... I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were here to work. I didn't mean to keep you." He shrugs slightly. "Let me pay for the drink to make up for it."
no subject
No innocuous bar jobs for her. She's a whore, and quite proud of her skill.
no subject
That earns her a snort of laughter, and even amused eyerolling. "No, no, I'm afraid not." He steeples his gloved fingers. "My interest in your body lies with your swordfighting. I have seen you in the dojo. You are good."
no subject
If they aren't going to conduct business, then perhaps they can have a talk about something else important to her: Swords.
no subject
But weapons, weapons are always of interest to him, and easily make him forget his own awkwardness. "Of course I've watched. I've been watching everybody in the dojo. You caught my attention since your chosen weapon is not too much unlike my own. I use a lightsaber; it's a plasma sword." He looked around, debating if he could get away with showing it off here. "I would show you, but it might cause too much alarm. Maybe when we have finished our drinks."
no subject
She sips her drink and grimaces. She knows watered-down booze when she tastes them. It's not even good watered down stuff.
"Do you know much of swords?" She asks, bracing her chin on her hand.
no subject
He shakes his head abruptly. "Going by your facial expression you aren't enjoying your drink. If you're planning to come back here for work, tell me now because I might be about to get us banned from this place." He plucks the lightsaber hilt from his belt, showing her the silver handle with the twin emitters at the end. He keeps his finger on the activation switch, waiting for Heather's permission to activate the hissing, crackling red blade.
no subject
She steps outside, sighing as she sees someone extracted from one of the houses. She's used to such sights, but she hopes that that is not the rule around here.
"So, care to show me your sword, darling?" Why, yes, she did make that completely innuendo.
no subject
He shows her the handle again. "Like I told you, a plasma blade, mine is using a single cracked kyber crystal, it is based on a design dating back to the Great Scourge of Malachor thousands of years ago." With a push of the button, the red blade hums to life, crackling and sputtering as if it were a flame sizzling in rain. He makes a few sweeping motions with the blade to show the range it gives him. "The crossguards are a rare design, most lightsabers have a single blade." Realising that he's been rambling on too long about his weapon, he turns his gaze to Heather again. "That's mine. I'm hoping you're going to show me yours in the dojo."
no subject
Instead of answering, she pulls her sword from her coat - the one that didn't look like it had a sword in it at all. It's one of the few "magic tricks" that Immortals have. Heather uses it to her advantage a lot.
"Not so fancy, but it's saved my life many times." She lays the hilt across her wrist, offering it to him.
no subject
"Forgive me if I won't you offer you mine," he says as he accepts her blade, making a few sweeping arcs with it. "It's far better balanced than the training swords provided by the dojo." He may not know a lot about metal blades such as the one Heather uses, but it's obvious this is a blade that is well cared for.
His eyes narrow at her as he hands it offers it back. "And the ones at the dojo don't come with such a handy illusion either. Is it the sword or the coat?"
no subject
"I don't know what you're talking about, darling." She reaches for his arm, fully intending on wrapping her arm with his and walking with him. "Now, you're welcome to come spar with me anytime you wish."
no subject
"I'll spar with you," he agrees, "soon." He reaches for the obsidian knife, though he doesn't get it out again. "I have to continue my research now. I'm working on a schedule." A self-assigned schedule, but still one he wishes to keep to. Life feels more purposeful when you have one.
no subject
"Of course, darling. I'll see you at the dojo." With a swirl of her coat, Heather turns away and then looks back over her shoulder, tossing a wink his way. There's no sign of the sword under her coat.
