July Catch All!
Characters:Date: JULY
Location: All over Keeliai
Situation: July catch-all
Warnings/Ratings: None, but possibly violence
A. Heather at the dojo
Heather starts going to the dojo in the early mornings, with her Spatha at her side. She's working mostly on forms, though if anyone wants to stop her and spar with her, she's more than willing to do so.
B. Heather at the Healer's Guild
Heather loves working a shift at the Guild, and will often pick up extra shifts here and there, because she's bored. But, she's got a gentle touch and likes learning about new herb healing.
C. Heather out and about
Heather can be found just about anywhere. She's going to be lurking around the Fire Sector, looking for houses of ill repute, to perhaps pick up a few nights worth of work.
D. Brigid at the shelter
With Erskine's disappearance, the running of the shelter has fallen to Brigid. And she doesn't mind it too much. She'd much rather answer to someone else, but until she finds someone to be the face of the shelter, she's it. Plus, it's cutting into her time with Jackie.
E. Brigid at the dojo
Brigid is getting back into Krav Maga. It's a nice routine to be in her mind. Plus, it means that she doesn't need to go running.
F. Brigid at the Hotel
Brigid can be found, most evenings, in the common area of the hotel, a few papers, a few books spread out around her. She's also got a huge book in front of her, as she translates. Other times, she's translating for someone else. But she's willing to be bothered.
G. CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
Just let me know which one you want!

C
He was completely focused on the Force, barely avoiding to walk into passerbys more by luck than skill. Right until he no longer avoided it, anyway, and stumbled into another body.
"Watch where you are...!" He trailed off when he recognized the woman, vaguely, as someone he had seen at Bakura's dojo. He had taken note of her good forms, and meant to speak to her sometime. But... certainly not standing right in front of a brothel, while he held a knife in hand. He could already feel himself flushing. "Excuse me," he mumbled, "it was my mistake."
AHAHAHAHA POOR KYLO
she's just thinking of approaching one of the smaller, more well kept of the houses when she's bumped into.
Heather turns her attention to the boy who rammed into her, and arches an eyebrow at him. She's seen him around the dojo, watching her practice her forms. Her eyes flick to the knife. "Yes, it was." She says, conversationally. "Of course, now, you'll have to buy me a drink."
HE IS SO MORTIFIED (but hey Kylo it could be worse she could be working already!)
"A drink?" He raises his brows, somewhat amused, but mostly still flustered and trying so hard to hide it. He looks around, taking note of the businesses that line this street, and coughs. "I'm not sure if we can find someplace here which serves only drinks," he says wryly. Obviously bracing himself, he adds, "but that might not matter, as long as they do serve drinks."
You've got to forgive him, it's been a very long time since he got to visit shady cantinas. The First Order just doesn't do entertainment.
Heh heh heh who says she isn't?
He's well enough put together, for her. His face is angular without being too sharp. He'll do, rather well, if his embarrassment is anything to go by.
She slips her arm into his, ignoring the danger. She doesn't know this boy except as someone she's seen around the dojo. "Well, we will have to find a place that serves only drinks."
She's still oddly amused by him. Perhaps this trip into the Fire Sector will not be a full waste of her time.

"Right. Drinks." Okay, he can avoiding making a fool of himself. In theory, at least. Maybe. Yeah, maybe sounds good. "We can find someplace that serves drinks."
But he's sure not steering her towards the door of that very-obviously-a-brothel place they stand in front of. The bar next door looks cantina-like enough, though, they seem to be playing music there.
"Here?" he asks, nodding towards it and walking very stiffly, for he doesn't quite know what to do with his captive arm.

His cluelessness knows no bounds *snickers*
He's *adorable*.

A!
"I'm not familiar with those forms," he says, "and I've seen a lot. Care to share?"
no subject
"Heather Stone." She says, holding out a hand.
no subject
"Gene Khan," he says, shaking her hand. "And that explains why I didn't recognize them. I haven't had the chance to see many historical forms."
no subject
Heather goes back to the circle where she was working. "Are you familiar with many modern forms then?"
no subject
"Some," he admits. "I can recognize several on sight, but what I practice most is wushu."

"Can I come sit down?" Yeah, they're kinda dating, but she looks...really intense.

Her hair is up in a lopsided knot on the top of her head, and she's got the hot librarian thing going for her. She also has a book open in front of her that has some graphic medical drawings. She'd said she'd translate them and that's what she's doing.
"Hi. Please, join me." She actually clears a spot for him too. Not everyone gets such fine treatment.
no subject
He takes the offered seat and glances at her notes.
"Translating?"
no subject
"A bit yes. I have several projects going at once." She admits, blushing slightly at the mess she's made.
no subject
"Anything I can help with?" Aww, she's cute when she blushes. And she seems to do it at the drop of a hat. "If you think this is a mess, you should see the room I'm in, heh."

A, the day after their network chat
There's something satisfying about the sounds of metal blades clashing, so different from the electrical hum and hiss of lightsabers. It's different, new, no reminders of what is lost for now.
The next time their blades meet, he gives a laugh. "Nice one. The people of your world must start training very early, for you to be so skilled at your age."
no subject
Kylo's one of the few that she gets to spar with actual bladed weapons with. Something about people being worried about injuries or something.
Whipping around, she aims a strike at his shoulder. "Most are said to be born with a sword in their hand." She admits. No way is she admitting to being over a thousand years old. "My father believed in a girl knowing how to defend herself." At least, she assumes so, being a Roman legionnaire and all.
no subject
Today is not a day for the rage-fueled berserk fighting style which he employs in actual combat, submerging himself that deeply into the Dark Side would make it difficult to have the chat they planned.
"Do your people think daughters can't die by the sword as easily as sons do?" Although he has subjugated worlds where it was considered normal for men to protect the women, it's a foreign thought to him, having been raised on his mother's war stories.
no subject
There are things that she could say: that the way of the sword isn't as prevalent anymore, that to find someone who uses the sword is unusual and usually means that person is an Immortal.
Or at least has the potential to be one.
no subject
He matches her smirk with one of his own, twirling around to gain momentum and going for another slash of the blade. "But what does it say about the femininity of your mindset, if you fight like someone who has experience in doing battle?" He snorts. "Or should I ask, what does that say about your abysmal skills at negotiation?"

F - after Anton's departure
Eventually he wanders back to the doorway that leads to the lobby, peers up at the lintel, says "Hmm," and puts his notebook down. Then he goes and grabs one of the armchairs and starts to drag it towards the doorway. Anyone trying to focus might find this process rather intrusive.
Who let this weird kid in here, and what the heck is he doing?
no subject
Then there was the fact that she was missing a bed.
But Brigid doesn't complain. She keeps it to herself and just soldiers on. One of Marcus Hannigan's pack does not complain about minor inconveniences.
However, there comes a point, when even Brigid's even temper will snap. And that point is when she's trying to get the translations done for the Healer's Guild, and this boy is dragging furniture behind her.
Getting up, she grabs the chair, picks it up and puts it in front of the mantle. "I'm trying to work. Do you mind?"
no subject
Then he realizes how annoying that had probably been, and his irritation fizzles out into sheepishness. "Sorry. I'm, uh, looking for sigils. I'm trying to figure out what's left of the wards." Beat. "...Can I have that chair back?"
no subject
"Can you move it without making a racket?" Brigid asks, arching an eyebrow. She doubts it, but it's worth it to ask.
no subject
He lifts it just as easily as Brigid had, and starts waddling to the doorway again. With Extremis, it's not the weight that's the problem, it's just that the stupid thing is so unwieldy. Why are all these chairs so huge and puffy?
He plunks it down under the lintel with a grunt. "Good?" he asks, eyeing Brigid warily. She'd better not try to steal it again.
This notif disappeared....
