i will be rocks [August, catchall, open]
Characters: Raine Sage and many others (that is, open)
Date: August 2018
Location: Around [Guild, apartment, other]
Situation: Many, lots [Overwork, friendship, souls]
Warnings/Rating: will update as required
A | Healer's Guild | Open
Look who's overworking herself again.
Having ceded about half her responsibilities to Suhiet frees up Raine's time somewhat, so she's not technically obligated to be at the Guild; but all this means is that she spends more time in the lab that was Solomon's instead. She keeps busy.
There's a few days toward the beginning of the month where this isn't the case, as Sheena's returned from the Dreaming and some kind of celebration seems the order of the day. Apart from that, however, Raine can usually be found at the Guild, and if she isn't at the front desk then one of the volunteers can easily find her. She's the person to talk to for health concerns or helping out around the Guild. Or if she's been demanding answers about someone's home world.
B | Earth Sector | Open
When she's at home Raine can often be found in her apartment proper -- never in the kitchen, owing to an age-old conspiracy against her, but tending the small planter boxes in the front or sitting in the window of the open living room, reading or writing.
Sometimes she can be found instead at a park nearby, sitting with her staff across her knees and her hands glowing faintly. Her eyes are half-shut, but she tracks anyone who comes within a few meters, and won't be startled if interrupted.
C | anywhere | Open

That sounds like she's being forced to take a vacation. She makes a vague motion at the rest of the Guild, takes a step like she means to head deeper into the building. "I still have responsibilities." Other people can handle them, she supposes -- the Guild is designed to be able to run without her -- but while she's here, she should be doing her part.
A thought strikes her. Her eyes narrow. "Have you been talking to Zatanna?"

"The hekauet? Not recently, why?"

Which is his point, she's catching up to slowly. That shouldn't have taken her so long. Raine shakes herself. Gives Bakura a narrow-eyed focus. "What's the point of a hobby that accomplishes nothing?"

"She's not wrong. And would you play a game only to win it, or to play the game itself?"
The irony of this coming from him...

"I suppose the correct answer is for playing the game itself," she says at length, a little stiffly. "It isn't that I'm unaware of the concept of fun, you know."
She can have fun. She just... likes to have fun and be doing things at the same time.

But he'll keep the teasing to a minimum; too much is just needlessly mean. "For today, perhaps just something spontaneous. What's something you've been putting off, seba-rekhet?"

At least twice. Please. "I'll have you know I've had fun at least three times." This last she does mean as a joke, but her tone misses the mark a little and it comes out sounding more serious.
