"Perhaps we'll be lucky and they'll include enough spice for it to suit our tastes if we do a good enough job." One can dream.

'I doubt there's anything that tastes like food from home.' A little morose, perhaps. 'If I was better at the business end of things maybe we could start a restaurant. It'd give us something to do.'

He nearly kicks his feet up on the table in protest (or something) but decides not to - he's still not that comfortable around her.

"My skill is in neurosurgery, not cooking." Not that she's a terrible cook, but certainly nothing worth opening a restaurant over. "You'd have to spend all day in the kitchen."

Said dryly, because she agrees with him on the point that they really are just spending their time waiting until something happens. They never get this much down time, even when they're supposed to be off duty.

'And I don't even have a degree,' he remarks, more than a little amused. Books weren't his strong point, hands-on learning was. Guy had two degrees, which most people didn't even suspect, let alone know. Funny how people could surprise you.

'Anyway. I suppose we could always wait for an audience, and compile a list of questions.'

"Do you think she'd answer them honestly?" It's a concern - they can deal with it if she didn't, but some things Soranik dearly wished for a straight answer on.

Clone issue aside.

'If it was in her interests. We have to phrase them right.' He sighs. 'I wish Salaak was here.'

"If anything he could bog them down in bureaucracy." Even though Salaak is very good at making sure the Corps isn't, Sora doesn't believe for a second he's not capable of it.

'I'd like to see the enemy escape that.' Because the thought is hilarious.

He's a cornerstone of the Corps, doing his thankless tasks. "They wouldn't be able to."

He chuckles, and stands up. 'Okay. Same time tomorrow?'

A nod. "Same time." She stands as well, as it's only polite.
