Under the Sea (Open)

Characters: Jehan, Grantaire, Byrn, and everyone who wants to join them!
Date: April 23rd, midmorning to late evening
Location: The edge of the turtle!
Situation: Swimming! A picnic! A party!
Warnings/Rating: I'm going to rate this PG-13 for naked/nearly naked people, alcohol, and smoking. Also R's mouth. And apparently terrible mythological comparisons.

[Jehan has never been this happy, he doesn't think. The ocean. The blue, warm ocean. He gets to see it again, gets to swim in it with his friends, gets to enjoy it. He's so happy.

Of course, he's taking a long moment to shed anything but his coat once the group gets to the edge. It's a beautiful shade of blue and he can't not admire it.]

I do not intend to, however fascinating it may be. I prefer the use of hands and feet over feelers.

[He snorts, taking a drink from his bottle and then nudging Combeferre's shoulder with it, to share.] I would hope so.

[He takes that bottle, quite affably, and takes a long drink for himself.]

It is quite an interesting idea, though, perhaps our poete could make something of it.

A story about a man who turns into an insect, why can I see that being a best seller?

It does sound fascinating, does it not?

Not in the slightest. I would expect it to be terribly overdramatic and wildly unrealistic. Outside of the obvious fantasy of metamorphosis.

[philosophe]

Well, yes, it would have to be, concerning one's transformation into an insect. But there is nothing wrong with some fantasy.

[cynisme]

Fantasy isn't the problem, it's overdramatic attempts at being witty and clever that are glaringly annoying. Something it would surely be full of.

[philosophe]

Perhaps. I must admit it is not generally my preferred choice of reading.
