[CLOSED] VIAN THAX

Characters: Booker DeWitt, Ixis Naugus, Jim Hammond, Kurt Waggoner, Nilin
Date: March ??-??
Location: Vian Thax, the underwater hydrocity!
Situation: The rescue of MIA undercover agents placed by Eshai 10 years prior, now to be retrieved under Evandau’s orders. No man or woman left behind!
Warnings/Rating: None presently, will add if/when they arise.

Following a very brusque but instructive meeting with Emperor Evandau, complete with pictures of the targets, the six heroes are clear as to what their mission is. Plunge to the hidden, aquatic city of Vian Thax and recover three long-lost agents who have fallen out of contact and are presumed endangered or compromised. How it’s accomplished is not quibbled over, at least not with Evandau. That’ll be done once the chosen foreigners manage to infiltrate the sunken settlement and plan from there. Assuming they can actually work together, anyhow…

Equipment for underwater travel is granted to those who cannot do so under their own means, a map and limited supplies are given, the way is pointed. To Vian Thax!

Booker isn't much of a planner, really - he tends to go in head first with whatever information he has and go from there. But with this many people, and with multiple rescues expected, he supposes they'll need something a little more thought-out.

He's staying in the background, mostly. Just going to offer up his opinion, and let the others do their thing. Whatever they decide, he knows his place. He knows he's just muscle. There to do the dirty work. Break some skulls if necessary.

"You want my opinion, I say we split up and go for both of 'em at once. This... lawyer fella, he'll be the easiest to get to if only because the bulls haven't actually locked him up yet, but if we nab him without the other, they'll kill her for sure."

"If we can get locations with visuals on both of them, I can grab them in a couple seconds," Kurt offers. "A city this size, I can make in a couple jumps at most, even if they're on the other end. But getting a look inside is the hard part, and we'd need a secure location to take them to to be ready to get out fast. 'Cus this world is magic enough that they prolly have a teleportation contingency plan, right?" He certainly would, but then, he really likes plans, and sees no reason the teenaged spaz shouldn't be contributing as much as anybody.

"Whatever we decide to do it has to be simple, and fast." Jim jumped in. If they got involved in bureaucracy, or in a mission impossible kind of deal trying to get everyone out things could get messy.

"Pallas should present no problem, it's the prisoner we'll have problems getting out. How many of us would be able to simply get in and out unnoticed?"
