Situation: Evandau put out the call for help against the great and powerful Oz. Malicant. Ozicant. There are the next three teams to be assembled

The police force has a series of leads they need the Foreigners to follow-up on that may (or may not) relate to the entity known as Malicant. Teams 10, 11, and 12 are mobilised now. See the threads in this post for details and contact Alex (reignsdown or the mod account) if you have any questions.

Note: A variety of the options indicate that players can create kedan to fill plot needs in terms of questioning and what have you. These kedan are plot-specific and would not count in the rule-of-tens for NPCs (unless they were referred to after the event; but that is future and this is now).

[Dinah's impulse is to chase the kedan right the way down and hit them hard before they can get it together. And if she were on her own she probably would. But something makes her hang back on one of the lower levels above the very lowest; where it finally registers what she's surrounded with.]

Oh god, is that what I think it is?

Aaaaaaaaaaaagh --

[ Liz is trailing far behind, shrieking with her hands over her face because goddamn she's useless right now without her powers. but she skitters to a stop when dinah stops, eyes peering out from behind her hands ]

Oh my god. Where are --

[ Natasha whips around, shooting the screaming girl a sharp look and a hissing warning to shut up. Not that their presence hasn't been fairly well announced already, but there's really no need for all of that.

She takes the momentary pause to power up the widow's bites, and grimaces. ] Of course it is. At least there aren't any bodies this time...

[Dinah touches two gloved fingers to one of the exposed roots, just above where the seeping sap is much too red to belong to any type of tree this ex-florist has ever heard of.]

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Okay. [She straightens and looks around at the other three.] So we're going to kick their asses, right?

[ Natasha glances down, and blinks as she notices the color and consistency of the sap. The roots go down to the blood of the turtle, the locals say...

She pauses before answering Dinah's question. They could always let them run and see where they go - but none of the kedan seem inclined to run right now. ]

I don't see another option at the moment.
