Event | Landfall | Diving & Sinbrilee
Characters: Any and every!
Date: August 10th - 31, 2013
Location: The sunken city of Sinbrilee
Situation: Tu Vishan comes upon the oceanfloor, holding his own memorial to the fall of his sister turtle while those upon his shell may explore the ruined city.
Warnings/Rating: Please place content warnings in subject headers!
Sinbrilee | Dreaming | Death

Art by Rica.
The city is lit by a warm orange glow, there are thousands of lanterns lit and burning brightly to ward off the gathering dark. It was once a grand, thriving place, and it's obvious by the quality of the Greco-Roman architecture, the high sweeping columns of white marble, the beautifully paved roads. There are aqueducts throughout the city that look as if they could be put to use today. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that the city's spent the last few hundred years underwater, it looks quite liveable. This city is entirely open to exploration, so feel free to send your character out to their heart's content. Remember, certain doorways will lead your characters into either Death or the Dreaming and these markings won't always be visible to them, so they should take care and be vigilant at all times!
Note: A separate post will be made for the events of the Bacchanal later in the month.

He goes on foot. When he finds the source-- a huge turtle egg, confirmed by the Scarab-- there's... a kid his age looking like he's trying to measure the shell with his palms, or something.]
Hey, [he starts, taking a few steps forward. He was going to say something a little bit more snarky half a second ago, but the fuzzy feeling suddenly in his chest makes him considerably nicer.] you feel that? Like whoever's there is trying to talk to you?

But the nagging just gets worse. Soon she can't eat because it nags at her stomach. She can't sleep as it preoccupies her head. So she finally gives in and follows the feeling, winding through the city streets, until she comes across two teenage boys and an egg.
A turtle egg. Clara knows what it is right away, like she was meant to know.
"So. I'm not the only who was pulled here by a turtle egg, am I?"

[Percy's not sure how he feels about that. A couple of minutes with the egg, and he's already sort of possessive. And then another person shows up, and he just kind of leans sideways a little, trying to see if there are any more newcomers coming up behind her] Nope, doesn't look like it. I'm Percy, who're you guys? I think I've seen you around, but we haven't really talked.

I'm Jaime. I thiiiiink I've spoken to you on the network, Clara? [Gosh, he's too young for his memory to fail him already-- it's all that relying on the Scarab to locate people for him, isn't it.] This is my first time seeing you, though. [which he says, turning briefly to Percy.]
Don't tell me it's looking for its parents. Um, three... parents. Not that there's anything wrong with non-traditional families or whatever. And anyway, I thought turtles left their young buried on the sand? [Nevertheless, Jaime rests a hand on the eggshell. Natural or not, he's long decided to stick around for the thing.]
