Event | Landfall | Diving & Sinbrilee
Characters: Any and every!
Date: August 10th - 31, 2013
Location: The sunken city of Sinbrilee
Situation: Tu Vishan comes upon the oceanfloor, holding his own memorial to the fall of his sister turtle while those upon his shell may explore the ruined city.
Warnings/Rating: Please place content warnings in subject headers!
Sinbrilee | Dreaming | Death

Art by Rica.
The city is lit by a warm orange glow, there are thousands of lanterns lit and burning brightly to ward off the gathering dark. It was once a grand, thriving place, and it's obvious by the quality of the Greco-Roman architecture, the high sweeping columns of white marble, the beautifully paved roads. There are aqueducts throughout the city that look as if they could be put to use today. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that the city's spent the last few hundred years underwater, it looks quite liveable. This city is entirely open to exploration, so feel free to send your character out to their heart's content. Remember, certain doorways will lead your characters into either Death or the Dreaming and these markings won't always be visible to them, so they should take care and be vigilant at all times!
Note: A separate post will be made for the events of the Bacchanal later in the month.

But hey, me and Tommy've been here for ages, so I think we're pretty much staying. So... there's two people who aren't gonna disappear on you. [ She smiles a little, shrugging a shoulder. ] Not that we know each other that well, but I'm all for teenage hero solidarity.
no subject
Like Rikki.] Yeah, he said he'd been here for a long time, and you have, too, and others have come and gone. [Like him.]
I'd like to know you better? And not just because of teenage hero solidarity... well, that too, I mean, but you're also dating my brother? So... congratulations, I guess? [He laughs.]

no subject
Yeah, he told me. He kind of hit me with all these things at once, so I'm still. Processing some of them. [He gives another, bigger laugh.] Like how you're Nomad?
no subject
So I guess it's nice to meet you when we're not in the middle of Cap's memorial or breaking up a riot or whatever.
no subject
...Yeah, it's really nice to meet you when it's not like that. [Billy laughs.] So what do you do here? Do you have a job?
no subject
[ Or there's something so bad there's no way to fight it, like whatever happens to the Caps. But it's probably best not to mention that now. ]
I usually bus tables at a diner in the Earth Sector. It's not much, but the locals that run the place like me and they feed me, so it's cool. And there's the night job, obviously. Tommy and I usually patrol together - you can always come, if you want.
no subject
[Just to, you know, double check that one. Billy nods.] That's good. You don't eat as much food as Tommy does, right? Because otherwise this place must run out of food every other week.
[He grins, both at the so cliche joke he just made, but also the fact that they didn't mind if he tagged along.] I'd like that. It's kind of boring, not doing it, you know?
no subject
[ Yeah, that was one of the dumber jokes she's ever made and she's not even sorry. ]
And trust me, I know. I broke my arm a couple months ago and I was basically climbing the walls by the time I was okay to go out again. Not an experience I'd recommend.
no subject
[Seriously, that was so bad. He's going to calm himself down, but that was awful] You're just as bad as Teddy.
[For once, the thought of his boyfriend doesn't make him sad, as he just remembered all of Teddy's terrible jokes and puns. Really terrible ones. He calms down, nodding slowly.] I'll keep that in mind. I don't really want to break anything while I'm here...
[He looks down.] Maybe coming up here wasn't the best idea if I was trying for that, though. [He gives her a smile.]
no subject
...probably.
[ Still giggling slightly, she leans over a bit to peer over the edge. ] It's not that high... and anyway, can't you fly?
no subject
[He shakes his head, running a hand over his face to calm down.] Yeah, I can. I can fly you, too? Wait, you don't need that, you got up here by yourself, right, good job Billy for noticing.
no subject
[ She laughs again at that last comment, and shakes her head. ] Yeah, I'm pretty used to heights. I can get down from here no problem... but thanks for offering. I appreciate it.
no subject
Okay. The offer is open forever, okay? It's kind of fun to take people flying. Captain America was like a little kid when I helped him fly back to... [He trails off, looking down.] Pretty much, it's a fun thing to do.
