Event | Landfall | Diving & Sinbrilee
Characters: Any and every!
Date: August 10th - 31, 2013
Location: The sunken city of Sinbrilee
Situation: Tu Vishan comes upon the oceanfloor, holding his own memorial to the fall of his sister turtle while those upon his shell may explore the ruined city.
Warnings/Rating: Please place content warnings in subject headers!
Sinbrilee | Dreaming | Death

Art by Rica.
The city is lit by a warm orange glow, there are thousands of lanterns lit and burning brightly to ward off the gathering dark. It was once a grand, thriving place, and it's obvious by the quality of the Greco-Roman architecture, the high sweeping columns of white marble, the beautifully paved roads. There are aqueducts throughout the city that look as if they could be put to use today. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that the city's spent the last few hundred years underwater, it looks quite liveable. This city is entirely open to exploration, so feel free to send your character out to their heart's content. Remember, certain doorways will lead your characters into either Death or the Dreaming and these markings won't always be visible to them, so they should take care and be vigilant at all times!
Note: A separate post will be made for the events of the Bacchanal later in the month.

As am I. [Enjolras is returning that kiss with one of his own, this time a bit less tentative than Combeferre's.] There is a lot to be said for being here. With you.
[And Enjolras is adding that last part a bit shyly because, well, if there is one thing he is not quite good at, it would be in knowing exactly what he wants and needs when it is not connected to something greater, and he's less good at asking, or talking about it when he's worked those things out. With Combeferre though, it is different, and he's glad of that.]
You do more than enough to help, you know. Just you alone. You will more than suffice.
no subject
You do, too. Simply being with you tends to make everything better.
no subject
It IS much better yes, being with you, and things are...right...again. I had missed that.
no subject
no subject
Do you suppose we could arrange it that I keep you like this, forever?
no subject
no subject
No, likely not. I cannot think we would do so well here, in the long term.
no subject
It would get rather dull, eventually, being surrounded by ghosts I think.
no subject
[Enjolras is falling into him easily, with a little content sigh there.] Mmm, I suspect that MAY have something to do with that. It does seem you've been here forever.
I do agree. They can hardly be so interesting as we may find them at the moment ALL the time.
no subject
[He quirks his lips a bit, playfully.] Oh, I do not know, some of their stories are quite fascinating.
no subject
Are they so? You would find them such, I suspect. But you will have to fill me in on the best of them, if you would.
no subject
no subject
But just for now, we're comfortable enough I should think, wouldn't you?
no subject
Most certainly. Your hair is lovely like this, did you know?
no subject
You find so many things fascinating, and they usually have some practical purpose later. Well. [And he's grinning broadly here.] I do not think that anyone will see the practicalities of your moths but...most other things.
Mm? Perhaps I should leave it down more often then.
no subject
You may do as you like, it is your hair, after all.
no subject
[And Enjolras is making a mock noise of disgust and rolling his eyes exaggeratedly.]
If you say so, my dear. I personally cannot imagine the countless hours spent on such things, but then, I have no doubt you would find wisdom in near anything.
And who says that I would not like it if it gets me such attentions?
no subject
I might braid it for you, I suppose, I became rather good at them when my sisters were younger.
no subject
Oh really? I may need to take you up on that then. This has been a mess for weeks.
no subject
You would rather do better to ask Courfeyrac, but I will try my best.
no subject
[He's rather imagining a particularly pleasant scene involving Combeferre, a book of some sort about moths, himself, and something to curl up pleasantly while listening to Combferre share things that he finds interesting. It was always pleasant enough before, and now with this added component of their relationship, perhaps they can throw a few kisses into it as well. It seems like a logical thing to attempt after all.]
If I wished for Courfeyrac, then I would ask for Courfeyrac. I think that I would rather you.
no subject
[He's rather thinking along the same lines himself, but he's going to take a moment to give Enjolras another rather thorough kiss.] I do not wish to -- make you do anything you do not have any desire to. You know that, do you not?
no subject
Quite. I will even try to pay attention while you do that. I cannot guarantee my mind will not wander on to other topics but I'll make the effort. For you.
[A kiss that he is enjoying very much thank you. As for the rest, Enjolras has the suspicion that has very little to do with moths.]
I do. You never did at home, or before things shifted. Why should I expect that you would not be as you always have been, mm? I...may not be ready as quickly as some would wish but when it is anyone, it will be you. It must be, I think.
no subject
[He would certainly be correct. Ah, the trick they have of reading each others' minds.]
I am perfectly content to wait, so you know. [There's a small nuzzle.] Do not hurry on my account.
no subject
I suppose that we will know when. [It's not as though he holds any major romantic opinions or illusions about ...well whatever they put into those horrible novels everyone else was snickering at through school or anything like that, but there are some things that Enjolras suspects he will be certain of. Perhaps it does not boil down to one right moment but...]
I think...[And that's a nuzzle that he is returning.] I am finally beginning to know who I am, apart from the republic. Who I am with you, like this. When I have found that footing, then. [And the idea itself is rather nice really.]
