Event | Landfall | Diving & Sinbrilee
Characters: Any and every!
Date: August 10th - 31, 2013
Location: The sunken city of Sinbrilee
Situation: Tu Vishan comes upon the oceanfloor, holding his own memorial to the fall of his sister turtle while those upon his shell may explore the ruined city.
Warnings/Rating: Please place content warnings in subject headers!
Sinbrilee | Dreaming | Death

Art by Rica.
The city is lit by a warm orange glow, there are thousands of lanterns lit and burning brightly to ward off the gathering dark. It was once a grand, thriving place, and it's obvious by the quality of the Greco-Roman architecture, the high sweeping columns of white marble, the beautifully paved roads. There are aqueducts throughout the city that look as if they could be put to use today. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that the city's spent the last few hundred years underwater, it looks quite liveable. This city is entirely open to exploration, so feel free to send your character out to their heart's content. Remember, certain doorways will lead your characters into either Death or the Dreaming and these markings won't always be visible to them, so they should take care and be vigilant at all times!
Note: A separate post will be made for the events of the Bacchanal later in the month.

Okay, yeah, it is partly a show. But if Alfred couldn't keep me off of the chandeliers when I was young, there's no way anyone is keeping me off these buildings.
[Still, he grins, looking at Kyle before looking for the next handhold.] You are one of a kind, my friend. No one else would sit back and watch some obviously unhinged guy climb a building.

[Certain things, he can understand backup plans, contingencies, hell, he uses a lot himself. But the real thrill is in leaping without looking, taking a chance and banking on everything to go your way because it's you doing it. Something Kyle will never admit to enjoying, even if he's guilty of it.]
[He floats along, keeping pace.]
Well then, looks like we're both our special brand of crazy. Good kind.

[He loved leaping off of buildings, not sure what might happen. He knew he had back up, he had his grapples, he had someone there to catch him. But in that brief moment, where you just threw yourself over the edge?
Nothing could compare. He looks up, seeing how close he is to the top, and pushes through the tiredness, through the pain.]
A very good kind. A preferable kind, considering the other kinds that we know, right? [Another swing, and one more, and his hand closed on the edge of the top. He grinned in victory, hauling himself up and he just laid on his back for awhile.]
no subject
The most preferable kind.
[He flips, and hovers up, landing on an outcrop just above Dick, watching the lights dance.]
Go again?
no subject
Go again? [He gave a dramatic groan and closed his eyes.] No, I'm old, I can't climb anymore, you need to find me one of those chairs that go up and down stairs.
no subject
You need a cane too, old man?
no subject
Maybe an iron lung. And a cane. This is it. This is the end, my friend, this is where I've come to lay my old bones.
