Event | Landfall | Diving & Sinbrilee
Characters: Any and every!
Date: August 10th - 31, 2013
Location: The sunken city of Sinbrilee
Situation: Tu Vishan comes upon the oceanfloor, holding his own memorial to the fall of his sister turtle while those upon his shell may explore the ruined city.
Warnings/Rating: Please place content warnings in subject headers!
Sinbrilee | Dreaming | Death

Art by Rica.
The city is lit by a warm orange glow, there are thousands of lanterns lit and burning brightly to ward off the gathering dark. It was once a grand, thriving place, and it's obvious by the quality of the Greco-Roman architecture, the high sweeping columns of white marble, the beautifully paved roads. There are aqueducts throughout the city that look as if they could be put to use today. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that the city's spent the last few hundred years underwater, it looks quite liveable. This city is entirely open to exploration, so feel free to send your character out to their heart's content. Remember, certain doorways will lead your characters into either Death or the Dreaming and these markings won't always be visible to them, so they should take care and be vigilant at all times!
Note: A separate post will be made for the events of the Bacchanal later in the month.

Ouch. Really dashing some dreams right there, huh? But let me guess, they always escape prison or wherever they go, right? That's how it works back home, you should see how many times people break out and now you see the Joker back on the street a week after he was caught by someone.
no subject
Sometimes. It's not a revolving door like some of the comics I read, thankfully, but... we have had the occasionally break out.
Who's the Joker?
no subject
[He needs to laugh, because he's teasing, but it's funny. Very funny.]
I thought everything was real in comics. You really are a killer of joy, huh. [He shakes his head.]
A bad guy who dresses like a clown. He's all over the streets of Gotham, you really can't escape him. Luckily Batman gets him, but he's always breaking out of Arkham.
no subject
I have a name to live up to now, you know.
[Why does he dress like a clown? Was it to go with the name, or did the name go with the outfit?] Why don't they put him in a different prison then?
no subject
Invincible. It's a high standard right there. [He smiles, though. He believes he can do it. Everyone needs some belief in them, now and again.]
Well, they tried putting him in Blackgate, but he kept killing prisoners. Plus, he's crazy, so Arkham Asylum is the place to go for crazy supervillians. Those are the only two options in Gotham.
no subject
Well, it's.... mostly true. [Because he can certainly get the holy hell beaten out of him.]
So... why not move him out of Gotham? Somewhere else?
no subject
[He raises his hands and shrugs.] Hey, why not, right? Why not.
[Dick has to laugh, though.] And inflict him on the rest of the world? You have to give it to those costumed heroes, they can make good decisions that still mess people up.
no subject
Well I didn't mean it like that! But I mean there have got to be other prisons, right?
no subject
[He's joking, with a grain of truth in it, though. But here, he has to joke.]
Of course there are. But doesn't he have to cross state lines or something to be in a federal prison? He tends to stick close to home.
no subject
I have no idea. I'm just a superhero.
