[And then she blinks, surprised.] Sven? You- You lost Sven?!? How do you just lose your reindeer?? What happened to your- your magic connection to him? [Yeah, that's what it is. Magic connection.]
no subject
It's not that kind of connection. Sven and I are childhood friends! He's known me longer than my family has, but there's nothing unnatural about what we have.
[He crosses his arms and huffs. Once. And then looks around.]
We must have been separated when we got here. I've been looking for him for hours and if he doesn't show soon... [A shake of his head.] I'm going to have to -- [A pause as he speaks louder, as though to summon the errant reindeer.] -- EAT HIS CARROTS.
[...nothing. Not even a whisper of a grunt that he could translate into "but you promised I could have first bite!"]

[Kristoff's attempt to make Sven materialize from out of nowhere... just makes Anna smile. Which she tries to hide by tightly pressing her lips together while she gives the area a quick sweep of her own.]
Hmm... He must be somewhere, though. Do you think maybe Olaf could've wound up somewhere with him?
no subject
[Kristoff voices it in an almost shrill monotone, because... she's making it sound weird! Anna, you're cute when you're weird, but it's not cute when it's making him weird and why is his brain running around in such backwards patterns?
He stops. Sighs. And then the Olaf connection kicks in.]
Olaf? Of course. Sven'd be after his nose!
[He thumps a fist down against his palm in a decisive motion. Eureka!]
That means if we find Olaf...
no subject
[And besides- they've had a revelation!]
If we find Olaf, we'll find Sven! So c'mon, what're you waiting for? [She hooks her arm into his, turning them both to face some random direction, and pumps her free fist into the air.] Let's go find Sven and Olaf!
no subject
Wait. Anna!
Kristoff half turns to her, narrowly avoiding unhooking their arms, and his expression is one of concern as he checks her hair.]
Your hair. It's... normal. [Ish. It still has the streak and all.]
no subject
What are you talking about? Of course my hair's normal, why wouldn't it be?
no subject
Because of what happened on the mountain. [He says it as though he's said it before and is expecting her to remember, then he stops and thinks about it and about what Queen Elsa asked him about what he remembered.]
What's the last thing you remember before you woke up here?
[That's a serious business question he's asking.]
no subject
[She actually waits for him to start explaining that- But then he moves on to another question that she's hoping is related to the confusion. Because it sounds like it is.]
We'd just reached Elsa's ice palace, and the doors opened after I knocked. [And then she actually starts to look a little worried.] Kristoff... Does something happen there?
no subject
You talk with her, but she doesn't lift the winter. [He hesitates.] No, she can't lift it. And then-- [He makes something of a vague gesture.] -- she sees me and Olaf, kicks us all out. [Because, wow, your sister can't handle you bringing boys home.]
And -- It doesn't matter here.
no subject
When Kristoff just stops abruptly, she frowns a little, clearly still confused.]
You remember all that... And I don't. [That makes her a little uneasy.] And-- And what is it? What's the part that doesn't matter?
no subject
[And, er. The rest.]
The rest is just-- [Er. He scrounges up his sarcasm, easier done than said.] -- you haven't seen Olaf's reaction to heat. [Technically true, even if he hasn't seen it himself but has been told it.] I told you we needed to tell him. [EYE ROLL. Ffff he doesn't want to worry her. WHY SO HONEST TO STRANGERS AND NEVER TO TRUE LOVES, KRISTOFF.]
no subject
And that-- Kristoff, that is so lame. There's clearly more to it than that, but she'll let it slide. For now.] Hey, there really isn't any way to tell him without sounding-- without breaking his heart! And- Well, he was bound to find out eventually. [Just like Anna and whatever Kristoff's hiding from her.]
no subject
And you think it's better he finds out in spring?
[Eyebrow: Up. He's going to question you just a wee bit here, because he wants to keep you focused off the reality.]
no subject
Look, I just think we should be careful about how we tell him!
... How did he take it? Do you know?
no subject
[Just. Arms crossed, because you know it just as much as he knows it.]
And, I--
[Um. Kristoff thinks to that and to what he's heard, but the fate of the curios Olaf has been absent from everyone's explanation.]
I didn't see it myself. That happens after what I remember.
[Yeah. He hesitated.]
no subject
[But... Since they don't really know what happened when Olaf finally learned the truth, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of point in arguing this.] ...I hope he's okay.
no subject
Whatever happened to him there, it won't happen if he's here. [He drops his arms and gestures around.] This place is nothing but winter. Again. [A roll of his eyes.] Still.
no subject
Then we should probably keep looking for him and Sven, huh?
