[Bucky kind of whines at that, because he doesn't wanna promise never to do it again.] How else are we gonna spend a night out around here? Isn't exactly like either of us are getting dates.

[That's true and the thought causes Toro's cheeks to heat up a bit as it always does--he thinks he's gotten less capable of talking to women since he's been here, really--but he covers it up by nudging Bucky a bit roughly in the side with his elbow.] It ain't like we've really don't much looking either. If you want a girl to go out with, why not just ask one?

[Bucky just elbows him back pointedly, a little bit rougher but still not with intention to hurt.] I was gonna once, but she had a boyfriend. I don't think she's around anymore, anyway. Where's the fun in that even if she was single?

I dunno....for fun? [That seems like the obvious thing.] You used to loved chatting up the girls and taking one out for a couple hours just to have a good time. It's not like you were asking her to go steady.

She wasn't interested. Not many dames are gonna be. You and me, around here, we're dated, old-timey. [Bucky shrugs at the thought. They don't really fit into whatever century most people around here seem to be from and he's trying to accept that.] Bar fights are just as fun.

You don't know that. [He doesn't think Bucky is wrong, but he also likes to be hopeful. He wants to believe there's something for them here more than finishing another war.] Maybe we just ain't been looking in the right places. Bar fights are usually where you can pick up a real lady.

Doesn't matter anyway. The brawl was still fun. [Not getting into his issues about modern girls not liking him or the way he's still in love with a girl he'll never see again.]

[Toro can see that Bucky is set in his mind and not planning to continue that conversation, so he just shrugs again, knocking their shoulders.]

You know, this reminds me of that time you thought sneaking into that off base pub would be a great idea.

It was a great idea. We had a blast. [He laughs a little, knocks his shoulder against Toro's in return, a little rougher because that's just how Bucky shows affection.] You'd be so boring without me.

[Toro jerks a bit to the side--Bucky's always been a bit stronger than him and knows how to get rough--and so he pushes him back.]

Sure until that you tried to talk up that dame in the blue dress. The one with the legs that went on forever.

[Bucky just rolls his eyes and drapes an arm lazily over his shoulder, bumping against him lightly.]

She did have great gams, didn't she? Wasn't my fault she was with someone already.
