[It's the night of the Grand Re-opening, so to speak, of the Brazen Turtle. Jim's made a few adjustments/arrangements to the bar since his acquisition of it. The décor remains largely the same, but there's now a small model of the Enterprise that zooms about overhead thanks be to Korra. Alcohol starts being served at 19:00, or 7:00 PM, but feel free to say your character just dropped in for soup and sandwiches (or sushi!) earlier in the day. If they arrive after the cut-off time, everybody – so long as they're over eighteen, thanks – gets one free drink. Feel free to partake of the billiards tables, the dart boards, the quieter private lounges or watch the bartenders have fun with throwing around flaming shots. Employees are welcome to participate here as well, serving food and drinks or catching five on their breaks, mingle and mingle well! It's all good fun!]

[Stiles is, thankfully, up and about after his broken leg. Seriously. Magic. He's starting to see its benefits big time. And he is hoppin'. Busy bussing tables, fetching silverware, and all the other things a busboy and barback is responsible for. Grab him and say hi?]

[That's a big order he's made and Thor can't help but feel sorry for seeing the boy hop it over to him, so he gets up to grab the large tray. Well, large to Stiles anyway; Thor's kind of huge. Even in his "mortal" clothes.]

My apologies. Had I known you were lame, I would have ordered less. [But it's said so nicely.]

[As promised, Clara is working in Jim's bar, half because she needs something more to do and half because he challenged her drink making skills. And like he'll she's going to take that lying down.

Armed with a little notebook with as many mixology recipes as she could find and a tight skirt and low cut blouse (hey she can cut loose sometimes if she's going to be a pub girl), she works the front bar with a wicked sense of determination.

Which is evidently pretty amusing (or charming) to some of the patronage who grin when she pulls out her notebook and consults it with a wrinkles nose before mixing the drink and so they're being rather friendly with their tips. Which confuses her and she keeps dropping the extra juulan into a bowl at the back of the bar.]

[ And as he's promised Jim, he's helping out at the bar himself. He'd probably occasionally help Spock out on the administrative side of things if he needs it - hint: he won't, he'll just senselessly bother him whenever he wants - but today, he's casually walking around the area, overseeing everything and occasionally glancing at the couple of rowdy kids during happy hour.

He eyes the tiny Enterprise model overhead with a short glance, before casting his eyes on the bar. Seeing a person he knows behind the counter, he goes to sit in front of her with a small smile on his face. ]

[Scott has promised Jim absolutely nothing but he does feel indebted to Bryn, which is why he swings by the Brazen Turtle, mingling his way through the crowd and saying hello here and there.

The throng of grinning people by the bar catch his attention, followed by the familiar figure behind the bar, and soon enough he's placed himself directly in front of her, one eyebrow very much raised.]

A notebook. Really?

[Look who has a steady job! Why, it's Eponine, working behind the bar. She always assumed she'd wind up in such a position, as a child when she lived in Montfermeil and her family still owned the inn. But here she was, pouring drinks and flirting with the best of 'em.]

[Monet's here, just to have a look around. Ric's the one who spends his time in bars, but it can't hurt to be familiar with this establishment, especially since Jim owns it. She approaches the counter, dressed to kill as always, and leans over.]

What's the special for today?

[If Elizabeth is going to become friends with Jim Kirk, she's obviously going to go to the bar reopening. And because Booker is likely to make friends with everyone at the bar, too, simply because he happened to enjoy drinking. He can, of course, handle himself, but Elizabeth wants to make sure people know where he lives just in case something terrible happens. Not like he doesn't already have a hefty bar-tab running anyway.

So Elizabeth is floating around, making conversation. She has a glass of wine in one hand, but isn't doing too much drinking. The last time had... not had pretty results. At all. No, she'd rather dance.]

[Bossuet would be stumbling upon the reopening after overhearing some chatter by some locals in the area, and would find himself seeing a variety of faces there, familiar and otherwise, to temper the impact of the fact that there was a model of some strange vehicle racing by overhead.

Once he'd grabbed a drink for himself, he'd be wandering about, taking in the rules of billiards, taking a shot at darts (though not without perhaps an accidental/potential injury to someone or himself).]

[Bryn had claimed, on their first meeting, that she was no good at keeping the books. That had been - mostly right, as far as Tess can tell. Frankly, she has her work cut out for her, but it's satisfying work, work she knows she's good at, and best of all? She gets to meet a lot of people this way. Suppliers, business people, shady and otherwise - the bar represents a really good cross-section of the turtle's population, of all walks of life.

Which is just the way Tess likes it.

She finishes up with her work for the day a little early, and has a bite to eat before the real festivities start. Once they do, she'll be nursing a drink - something like whiskey, or bourbon. Mostly she watches, a vaguely amused (if slightly haunted) look in her eyes.]

[Sitting on a bar stool with numerous empty glasses in front of him is an incredibly sober Thor. Wearing a set of civilian clothing from Midgard, the ones he had received from Jane from what felt like ages ago, he's rapping his knuckles on the bar to order another drink. Thankfully, he knows his own strength and doesn't break the bar.

Sorry, no broken glasses on the floor this time. There's too much weighing on his mind in terms of family.]

[Sometime in the night, one of the local kedan decides to start a fight with (1) humanized country. This fight kind of turns into a free for all, with Jim trying to break things up when and where he can, and will end with the police force arriving to arrest the worst offenders. Feel free to have your character participate in the fight and either slip away before the cops show up, or have them arrested! Even if they spend the whole time sitting there innocently eating their soup, you never know what could happen if the police get the wrong impression...]

[It should not have been a been deal. The fight could have been avoided. Prussia had been drinking for a while by then and reading was only a bit tipsy, but that's been kedan's make really shitty beer. It was only right that he told the bartender so! They could at least try to step up their quality. He hadn't expected a kedan nearby to take offense, because really, when he can explain all the ways kedan beer is inferior, they should be thankful he's teaching them how to get it right.

But that kedan shouldn't have pushed him! He wouldn't have punched him in the face otherwise. Because Prussia has never backed down from anyone. He was just going to go back to his drink and finish it off, no problem. And maybe Prussia shouldn't have thrown that empty mug over his shoulder in annoyance--because then it wouldn't have hit said kedan right in the head. That was purely accident, really. If Spain and France had been here, they totally would have backed him up.

But it wasn't avoided and the fight happened and Prussia has never been happier that it did. He's been bored out of his mind for days and a good fight always helps to calm him down. And he's only using his fists so it's not like he'll really hurt any of them, right? Just be careful to anyone who doesn't want to be involved to not get to close since he's enjoying himself too much to notice if you're just a wayward bystander.]

[Go in the back to get together bottles to restock the bar for ten minutes: TEN MINUTES, and Korra comes back out to have some random kedan- an entire person! thrown at her which breaks all the bottles she’s carrying.

A very angry, wide eyed stare falls on the one who threw the kedan, and a stiff bottom lip is all they get to see before she’s running into the fray to break a jaw or two.]

NO FIGHTING IN. MY. BAR!

[Unless it’s her apparently. SPOILER: It’s not her bar. This is one of the Avatars that Keeliai has to deal with. There’s no shortage of Korra using her martial arts to weave easily through the brawl, fully aiming to break some bones. Thankfully, she’s not using her bending.

[If you ask Tazendra, she had only joined the fight because one of the other diners had been shoved and she took exception to involving non-combatants in fights. This was... an excuse. In reality, there was a fight, so she was fighting, and only the 'civilizing' effects of Keelai (and the fact it wouldn't be fair) meant she wasn't drawing steel.]

[She might jump in to let non-combatants escape, mostly by punching or kicking anyone who gets near them.]

[Okay, this had been fun in the beginning, but now things were getting just a bit too serious for Kaine's tastes. And, seeing as he had been in his fair share of bar brawls, he knows that this was about the time cops started showing up. Even if all he's done is watch, he figures that won't matter given how completely out of hand it's all gotten.

So it's time to go.

He looks over at Tea and motions to the door. Something tells him she doesn't want to be caught in all the nonsense either. Then he attempts to slip out the front door.]

[Oh, bar fights. Such fun. Actually, Layla had never been in one, but most days at X-Factor could have been considered something like one. Everyone at each other's throat, yelling, the occasional punching or being put through the wall. Just when she was starting to miss it, some guy and the kedan bring out the fisticuffs, arguing over, of all things, beer.

Hey. Wars have started over sillier things.

For now, though, Layla's quite content to sit back with her pint and watch the brawl.

It's almost like being home. Almost.]

[So now the characters have all been dumped in a drunk tank, which is awesome. Jim and Prussia are both here, as are any other unfortunate inductees. Characters will be held for 24 hours, or until such time as a friend of theirs can be persuaded to come bail them out. Each character will be permitted one console call at the time of their arrest. This is a general mingle log for the holding cell, which is fairly large and surprisingly comfortable (with a private bathroom!) for what it is. Strike up a conversation with your fellow inmates, compare battle scars, gripe about shitty prison food. The whole nine yards!]

[Prussia might be the most pleased jailbird of the night. His cheek is a bit bruised, but healing, his hair is even more mussed and wild than usual, and there's some dried blood under his nose he hasn't bothered to wipe off just yet, but there's a pep in his step as he moves around the large holding cell. He's more relaxed than he's feel in weeks. he's not even mad about being in jail. 24 hours is nothing around him. He'll be the guy grinning like he just won the lottery for most of it.]

Guess we had too much excitement for them.

[Sure, the fight was fun and Korra only used a little bit of airbending and waterbending here and there, but being arrested for trying to end it left her with some sour grapes. So Korra's sitting with her back against the wall, arms crossed, and rather unhappy about the outcome.]

This sucks. [Unjustly arrested. Again.]

[He and Toro had just been hitting a couple bars to have a couple of beers and see if there were any girls on the circuit that night to flirt with (or talk about possibly flirting with them). They hadn't exactly meant to get involved in the bar brawl, but Bucky's never been able to resist a good fight, and he often drags Toro into trouble along with him.

So he's sitting in the cell looking rather gleeful, nursing a big bruise on his face and scrapes on his knuckles. It's been a while since he's seen a good fight, after all.]

That was a hell of a night.

I hate you... [ It's spoken between his knees as McCoy sits on a cold, hard bench beside Jim, stuck in jail like a miscreant. This certainly isn't the first time he's been thrown in jail--Hey, may be a doctor, but he's only human, damnit!--and Lord knows it probably won't be the last time, but at least he generally has a reason for being hauled in.

Now he's just a victim of circumstance, a victim of Jim's circumstance! He even got clocked in the jaw for all his troubles trying to tell the police that he was the owner of the bar and that he was trying to break everything up. Apparently that translated to assault on an officer, so here he is! Falsely accused and with a growing bruise to boot! ]

[ Wild Tiger paces the confines of his jail cell like a predator in a cage. Like a very whiny scrawny predator with chicken legs and a big mouth. His face is busted rather nicely: a split lip, a cut over his left cheek, and a nice shiner.

He's not sure if his misplaced anger is toward the people who wrongly hauled him in or just a defense mechanism against the fact that Bunny wasn't too thrilled that he had to come bail his partner out of jail after a bar fight. But, Bunny would see it his way, right? He's head of Brazen Turtle's security! He wouldn't just whip up a brawl for no reason! Although, he certainly might break things... Which he had. That poor pool table. ]

[Well, if there's anyone who doesn't deserve to be in jail, Clara would vote herself extremely high on the list. These police don't seem to listen to reason at all. Which is why telling them she wasn't involved in the fight didn't stop them from tossing her into a cell. She's a little roughed up but is otherwise unharmed.

Currently, she's in a rather fierce argument about how her shoe is definitely NOT a weapon and that any hitting with it was done in self defense. She's in the cop's face (as much as she can be) and is slowly backing him up against the wall as she rounds on him. Finally, they relinquish the shoe and she stomps back to the back of the cell with shoe in hand.]

Completely bloody ridiculous.
