and the gay begins
[ Barnaby hit the nail on the head! ]
Sure, I don't mind! I just wanna get home... I smell like a criminal! [ And smoke, but maybe that is part of the criminal look in Keeliai.
He waits for his partner to straddle the motorcycle before bringing his own leg around and scooching up behind the blond, sliding his thighs behind Barnaby's. Kotetsu's hands sit on the young man's thick hips as usual when he find himself stuck without his own bike (usually because he trashed it). ]
Let's go, Bunny! Vroom vroom!
business as usual, in other words
Please don't make that sound next to my ear.
[He speaks in a fairly mild tone, but it's an honest request nonetheless.]
Make sure you hold tight. [Without anymore warning, he starts up the Lonely Chaser and veers out onto the road. The wind is cold as it whips against their faces, but it's nothing they haven't experienced before back in Stern Bild.]

[ Barnaby starts up his bike and Kotetsu almost falls right off. He grips his partner tighter to keep from turning to roadkill before turning his attention back on annoying him. From pelvis to shoulders, he is glued to the blond's warm back. ]
What about Fwiiiisshhh! I like that one. It's like we're on a rocket! Though, actually... I guess we kinda are...
[ Don't they call some motorcycles crotch rockets? Ha ha ha! ]
no subject
Don't make that one either! [Honestly, give the old man an inch...
Despite the distraction, though, he makes sure to keep his eyes glued to the road. They're not far from the Metal Sector now.]

[ Kotetsu sighs dramatically against Barnaby, dropping his head against his partner's shoulder as he waits for them to make it to the Metal Sector.
The cold wind whipping in his face is making him squint and groan, burying his face into the jacket fabric in front of him. ]
We there yet?
no subject
[He's hurrying as fast as he can, because he doesn't really appreciate being out in the cold, either.]
Your ribs or shoulders aren't hurt, are they?
no subject
[ And by that he means he probably has a jammed shoulder. ]
no subject
Barnaby doesn't comment on that, and instead focuses on getting to his apartment. Finally, though, they arrive, and Barnaby parks the bike near his front door.]
Do you need any help getting inside?
no subject
[ Huffing all indignantly as he gets off the bike, Kotetsu tries hard not to coddle his shoulder. Hopefully it isn't dislocated. man, the last thing he needs is to get on the ground and have Barnaby snap it back in place.
It sure does hurt. ]

Go have a seat. I'll get the supplies from the back.
no subject
D'ah!!
[ Owwwah! He didn't mean to bang his shoulder that hard! ]

Soon, Barnaby returns with some ice and a very basic first-aid kit that he got from the clinic awhile back. It's not as modern as he'd like, but beggars can't be choosers, he supposes.
Sitting beside Kotetsu, he takes out a few of the supplies.]
Can you turn toward me, please?

Keep this pressed against your face for about 10 minutes while I clean your cuts.
no subject
[ What happened to a good ol' fashioned piece of meat, huh? ]
My cuts aren't that bad! They'll heal without messing with them.
no subject
[He dabs some cotton in a little bit of antiseptic.]
Maybe so, but I wouldn't risk an infection if I were you. This world is completely foreign, which means the pathogens probably are too.
no subject
[ Ha! Whatever those are! As if he'd let them get the better of him! C'mon, Barnaby!
With every swipe of that antiseptic, Kotetsu flinches, hisses, or recoils from his partner's hands. Eventually it turns into a battle between the blond's firm hands and the old man trying to wriggle free from them. ]
What're you--That's good enough! My entire face is on fire, okay? You got everywhere already!
no subject
All right. Would you mind taking off your shirt, though?
no subject
Uhh... Okay, lemme just--Maybe I can... [ Yeah, Kotetsu's doing this one-handed. He gets it up as far as his under arms, then the hard part starts. He wiggles like a snake to get it over one shoulder, but then it gets caught on his big head where it's impossible to resurface for air. ] D'ah! Bunny, I'm stuck!
no subject
[But as he pulls the shirt off of his partner, Barnaby movements are gentle and deliberate. He doesn't want to jostle the man's injuries more than necessary.]
no subject
His torso was worse than his face, his shoulder red and slightly swollen, his ribs bruised and sore. ]
Well, guess you can't really slap meat on a shoulder, huh...? [ Especially if it's dislocated. ]
no subject
We should probably get a doctor to look at this tomorrow. Want me to get you some medicine to help with the pain?
no subject
[ With a wave of his hand, Kotetsu guffaws off his partner's babying while his bravado was still fueling him like adrenaline. It would crash soon enough. ]
..... What kind of medicine you got? I mean, if I needed it! Not that I do...
no subject
It's not a matter of being concerned or not, it's just common sense. Even if you don't hurt much, it's better to be safe than sorry. As a hero, your body is one of your most important assets, so it's important to take proper care of it.
[He extends a small bottle of pills to Kotetsu.]
It's not too strong, but enough to take the edge off. You might not need it, but it would be a good idea to take it anyway. There's no reason to feel uncomfortable all night if you don't have to.
