Her usual hangouts are at her dojo in Wood, her suite ME-2A, the hospital in Metal, Jack's Fishing Shop in Water, or the Brazen Turtle in the center of Keeliai. [As Hal settles down on a bench its not that hard to notice the giant green broom going around the area, and for a moment there is a pang of jealousy. But of course, he knows this is all entirely his own fault - he's the one who gave up the ring, gave up the life and his identity as a Green Lantern. There's no reason for him to feel this, even of somehow he feels its unfair. Why does everyone else do a better job than him?

He almost debates on leaving, but Korra spots him before he can start to make a move, and when she approaches him Hal does his best to keep his face as neutral as possible.]

Hey. [He starts, albeit somewhat weakly.] I... noticed, yeah. Kyle told me.

[And subsequently got pissed at him, but that doesn't matter.]
corage: that's part of the oath... right? (blackest night and brightest day?)

[Hal just kind of makes a half-hearted shrug at that, neither confirming nor denying anything he says next.]

Personal stuff. Reasons. [He really doesn't want to talk about it.] You can hold onto it, I don't really care.
corage: but not one of the few. (just one of the many.)

[Hal watches for a moment as Korra hauls the gang members over to the police before he turns his attention back to her.]

Things change. [He says pretty dismissively.] You're doing a good job anyway, don't see any reason to change it anytime soon.

[You'll probably do it better than he himself ever could, Hal thinks bitterly, but doesn't voice it out. It's not Korra's fault after all, he knows that much.]
corage: can I turn in my resignation (I did not sign up for this)

[Hal kind of makes a face here. Is everyone out to hound answers from him now?]

Just stuff. Don't really want to talk about it.

[Because 'getting killed by your own older counterpart' is totally something he wants to talk about, yeah.]

[Hal lets out a snort despite himself, which is pretty much all Korra needs to know about his feelings on that suggestion.]

There's nobody to talk to. [Because everyone? Everyone knows Hal Jordan - the other him who's oh-so successful, so much better than him, who knows what to do best and who everyone looks up to. Not him, the Hal Jordan who he is here. Nobody looks at him and sees him for who he is. Just Hal Jordan, the superhero he'll never be now.]
corage: and why is it green (how did that giant fist appear)

[Hal is making a face here at both suggestions, the 'are you kidding me' very evident even without the need to say anything.]

They don't-- [Ugh why does he even have to explain himself anyway.] This isn't something talking can work out.

[The expression on Hal's face pretty much confirms Korra's suspicions. Nobody really gets it. At first he had thought his other was cool, and then these little things started to pile up and then now, with what happened... Hal just can't get over it. It's hard to get over being murdered, to be fair.

He grunts at the teenager's words, sort of appreciating them even if he really doesn't think it'll happen all the same. Everyone wants Hal Jordan, after all - not him, the younger, inexperienced version of the same man.]

What? [He then says at her last words. After all, she did take his ring - so he supposes he owes her something at least, for making sure it didn't land on somebody else entirely.]
corage: this job sucks (did not see that coming at all)

[...well, Hal supposes it is a legitimate question. The power lantern is still with him, after all. (Collecting dust, at this point.)]

Just drop by my place later. I'll show you what to do. [And pass her the power lantern too, he supposes, since its not like he has a use for it now.]
