skericide. Her usual hangouts are at her dojo in Wood, her suite ME-2A, the hospital in Metal, Jack's Fishing Shop in Water, or the Brazen Turtle in the center of Keeliai. But Korra can be at any sector on just about any day. Prose or brackets, they're both good!)

Any fun stories?

[A simple wave draws water from the dispenser, originally designed for pro-bending practice.]
Where at? [Her motto being the underground medic: heal first, ask questions later.]
no subject
[She leaned forward just enough to shrug the jacket from her shoulders. A large bruise was already starting to form on her upper right arm, just below the socket, where it'd slammed hard into the ground.]
There's also my knees and lower back. My feet are killing me too, but strangely enough, no worse than usual.
Every get caught in a gravity field?
no subject
Can’t say I’ve even heard a gravity field until just now.
[The forming bruise is where she puts the soothing water and starts her healing process, the rest can wait until she’s sure that there’s no permanent damage.]
Tell me those aren’t just lying around the city.
no subject
[There was a moment where she winced at the healing water. It was cold...but it was the good kind of cold. Like Jack's cold. She shuddered a little when it made contact with the tender flesh, before settling down a little further into the chair.]
Feel pretty good. Where'd you learn to do that?
no subject
[Working the water to accelerate the healing process has been something Korra’s had a chance to practice a lot recently, so she’s easily talking while she bends.]
So, did you win? [All her healing guests come from fights, and Korra’s not even going to pretend a random thing happened to Zatanna without a reason.]
no subject
...I'm going to go with 'yes'.
[Until evidence proved otherwise, that was her story, and she was sticking with it.]
no subject
Who's he? [She moves the water down to the bruises now that she's taken care of the worst part.]
no subject
That Bakura guy. You know--the one Bianca called out over the Network?
Sadistic little jerk. Caught him picking a fight with a gang over in Fire. And...yeah, some of them over there aren't exactly rays of sunshine, either, but he was going to kill them.
no subject
Yeah, I know him. [She moves aside a part of Zatanna's shirt so she could heal a forming bruise.]
...You did the right thing. They're a bunch of scumbags, but killing them isn't the solutions. [That's a heavy discussion she's had with Aisha, and it's still a notion she wrestles with. Now Zee's been stuck right in that situation, too.]
I'm glad you're okay. Well, as okay as you can be. [Alive.]
no subject
[...okay, may in the the most extreme of extreme cases, she could actually understand why lethal force could become necessary. But as simply revenge against a group of street punks? She nearly shuddered to think what else the guy might find a "reasonable" excuse.]
I feel worse than I look, trust me.
Just do me a favor? Can we keep this between the two of us? You know, the bruises...and the whole fight....
no subject
That's all part of my services her at Korra's Clinic. [Zee's request lightens Korra's mood a bit, though she's not forgetting that Bakura did this any time soon.]
You're not the first patient I've had.
no subject
How many others have you had?
no subject
About three or four though, I think. I never really kept track. Well, I guess you make it four or five now.
no subject
Yeah, well, no offense to your highly impressive skills--which, by the way, that's not sarcasm; that feels great--but I'm hoping to not make it a habit.
Fun as it would be to have a secret between the two of us, I kind of hate lying to the boys like this.
no subject
Lying to the boys? [Korra peeks over Zatanna’s shoulder from behind while she heals, curious about the statement. Obviously it didn’t feel like to her.]
no subject
[When Korra echoed her sentiment, she absently shrugged--then immediately regretted it as she aggravated one of the wounds Korra hadn't fully healed yet.]
Okay, maybe lying is a bit of an exaggeration, but you have to admit, it's not too far off. I mean, if Jack or Kyle ask, I'm certainly not going to tell them. Not the way they overreact.
no subject
That's not lying if you don't think it's any of their business. It's between you and Bakura. And if you want, me too. [Something Jack told her a long time ago, 'I think that's something better discussed between Zatanna and I', really stuck with her and she felt the notion applies perfectly here.]
He worked for me, pretending to be this good boy until Bianca posted on the network. [Korra spreads her hands out, the water separating so she can two smaller bruises at once.]
no subject
[...then again, considering all the height jokes she used to make when Dick was around, Zatanna probably had her fair share coming.]
It's not that simple, Korra. I mean, Kyle's the closest thing to a big brother I've ever had. He's going to worry, no matter what I do. And Jack is...
[She trailed off for a moment. A friend didn't quite describe him any longer, but they hadn't exactly gotten around to labels yet.]
...he's Jack. [As if that explained everything.] If one of us gets hurt, the other's going to make it their business. That's just how we've always been.
no subject
But they won't be hearing it from me. [That's a promise she can give.]
