skericide. Her usual hangouts are at her dojo in Wood, her suite ME-2A, the hospital in Metal, Jack's Fishing Shop in Water, or the Brazen Turtle in the center of Keeliai. But Korra can be at any sector on just about any day. Prose or brackets, they're both good!)

Korra pursed her lips when she looked at his not-so-empty bowl. But he was already set on cleaning up, so she polished off her bowl before handing it over to him. "I can-" help? Not really, she would be in the way by limping around.
She quickly chugged her drink down before handing that to him too. Even though she had that awkwardness, Korra really felt comfortable having him tend to her while she was practically down and out.
"well, just let me know if you want some help washing." Perks of being a waterbender. But she did note the tired look he had. It was a long day, and she had no idea what he had been through. Not yet.

Which was weird. He very rarely got sick... He wasn't even sure what he had as far as remedies were concerned. He'd collected some things, but he had no clue whether they worked or not. He lifted his hand shakily from the countertop and brushed his mouth. One step at a time. He's got this. But it was a laborious process-- he had to constantly pause and even then, he only set the dishes out to dry, instead of wiping them down and putting them up.
When he next showed his face, he couldn't hide how tired and pale he was looking. He didn't even really want to try anymore.
"Hey, Korra..." A pause. Get it together. "I'm gonna get you set up on my bed. Alright?"

When she saw him again, Korra's mouth went slightly slack and she stared at him. That was pale even for Mako.
"Sure." It was just an excuse for her to get to her feet as quickly as she could, given the circumstances. As soon as she was up, she looked at his tired face and touched his forehead, and bit both her lips.
She put her hand on his arm. "Come on." If anything, she was going to set him up in his bed and see what she could make of what exactly was wrong with him.

She wasn't that hard to read, in this one circumstance.
"I've got something for fever, Korra," he said insistently. There was no way he didn't-- he was Mako. He liked to think he was way more prepared than he was. If anything, he should be supporting her to his bed, though he knew that would end in disaster for both of them right then. It was an effort to walk straight, and without shivering. He just had to grab extra pillows and blankets, so she could sleep on something he hadn't slept on.
He was doing his best to operate normally.

Reinforced by the green energy, Korra tucked herself under his arm and walked him over to his bedroom. "I'll get it. Don't worry. You've got the best healer on the turtle." As soon as she sat him down on the bed, Korra went over to find the remedy and get a wet cloth. She didn't was a second coming back and climbed onto the bed, the cast disappearing once her foot was off the floor.
"Here, look at me." She placed her hand on his cheek, still hot, and pressed the wet cloth onto his forehead. She made sure it was cool to the touch with subtle waterbending.

Her words were almost distant, and all he wanted to do was pass out. Pass out, and either shed all his clothes, or go find every single pair of winter clothes he had in his closet. He forced his eyes open, but she wasn't coming in focus like she should have. Instinctively, he pulled away from the cloth, before settling. He couldn't focus...
She was still a blur, and when he tried to reach his hand out to her, he realized he was shaking. "Korra..." It was a pathetic attempt at indignity, one that he stopped at halfway, dropping his hand. His hand wasn't the only thing that dropped-- he slumped forward against her, all energy leaving him.

"I've got you, hang on." She was more worried about his overall health now, the fever seemed small in comparison. Korra pulled him onto the bed while she used her good leg to push herself back against the headboard. A simple wave of her hand drew out the water from the cloth and she began to swirl the glowing water just barely above his head.
"Everything's going to be fine." Though she was worried. This was something she'd never dealt with before and he was too important for her to mess up healing him.

"... Lot less messy than firebending." He admits hazily, before turning to the side and coughing. He would never have made it to the hospital like this, so it was good fortune that she'd decided to visit him instead, and that she was there with him. He coughed again, and when he stopped coughing, his teeth chattered due to shivering.
He wanted to reach out and touch her, but she needed to waterbend, or the water would come crashing all over him. He closed his eyes, trying to keep track of the thread of what was going on, but it was hard. He was half incoherent when he mumbled, "L-Leave this bed and... gonna have words. Lots of words."
He was out cold after that.

She barely made out the mumble, but she didn't even have time to respond to it. "Mako. MAKO!" She moved her hand to his cheek and gave a light shake, but there wasn't any response.
Worry etched into her features and she sent the water back into the cloth on his head. Korra looped her arms around him and pulled him into a more comfortable position on her so he wouldn't sleep wrong. His entire body was burning up and she could feel it with him half on her. It was making her too warm for her own comfort.
But she didn't move him, she didn't want him to be anywhere else.
Korra drew the water out of the cloth again and continued her healing. However long it took, she didn't know. The room had grown dark from the sun setting ages and her arms were heavy from the tireless moving.
Hours had passed, the only light came from the water she kept moving. When she felt that the healing had as much effect on him as she could give, Korra gave one last wave of her arm and guided it back to the cloth on his head.
...she rested her head against the headboard and pulled him closer to her. Her body was too fatigued to do much else and Korra's eyes slowly closed, the exhaustion catching up to her. But not enough to let her arms fall from holding him.
"I- love you, Mako." The last thing she brokenly murmured before her chin fell onto her chest.
