skericide. Her usual hangouts are at her dojo in Wood, her suite ME-2A, the hospital in Metal, Jack's Fishing Shop in Water, or the Brazen Turtle in the center of Keeliai. But Korra can be at any sector on just about any day. Prose or brackets, they're both good!)

Bending down, she guessed that was the steamer. It did have two parts.
"Double pot is a steamer. Okay." Why couldn't he just have normal food like she did?
Animal meat and stews. Filled with sea prunes and animal meat. And rice, with fish on it.
But she figured this one out. Steam came from water, so all she had to do was put water in the bottom pot. Of the double, pot-thing. Steamer, whatever.
"All right, got it. Want me to just boil it now?"
no subject
"Give it 15 minutes, for the dumplings."
He wasn't going to tell her how long to cook rice, she seemed to be managing that well enough on her own.
no subject
After setting the stove for both pots, she limped over to where he was. Her leg didn't sting nearly as much as yesterday thanks to the wound being seared shut. Meaning she could focus on him instead of her.
"Think that healing did its job?" she asked casually as she tucked his scarf around his neck.

He still felt terrible-- and looked it to. His hair was a wreck, and his skin was still pale, while the temperature coming from him was burning, though not quite to the extent that it had been the other day. But only just barely. He was conscious, and hanging on, and he was glad she was there with him, even if he knew he'd be telling her to heal herself, not him under normal circumstances.
It was hard for him to realize he was as sick as he was. He never got sick, so the sheer helplessness was bewildering. "While that's cooking, I'm gonna go change..."
no subject
"Alright, I can get yours washed with some clean water later." She held out her hand to help him up again. If they both had trouble walking to the kitchen, then they'd have just as much walking back.
no subject
He'd accept her help to his room, but he knew that her being there while he changed was... something. Wrong? They weren't dating, right? It was hard to keep everything straight. "Sorry."
no subject
Keeping him steady, she walked him back to the room. Slowly of course, between his less than stable gait and her limp; they'd get there in due time. The food she could come back to once he was changed.
no subject
Something extremely off for someone who was as much a neat freak as Mako could be. But then he remembered that Korra was there and froze for a second.
On the one hand, she'd seen him naked plenty of times. On the other, they weren't dating. Right? His head was burning and felt like it was full of clouds.
"Give me a minute."
no subject
But now, seeing him just discard it to get cooler; even though he was burning up?
Korra looked down in thought after he spoke. They weren't dating and they weren't together. This was an invasion of privacy, and she would have expected him to do respect that if she was changing.
Circumstances changed everything. It would be her fault if she left him alone to change and he ended up hurting himself by losing his balance. Even though they had seen each other nude, and then some, Korra wasn't about to use that as an argument.
"Sorry." She returned that apology he gave her earlier. For invading his personal space when she had to. Both as a healer, and a friend. "Go ahead and change."

Then, he sat on the bed, heavy. His hands went to his pants, shaky, but hurriedly trying to rid himself of them, and of the boxers underneath. He needed fresh clothes, even if he could barely focus on changing. Somehow he managed, though, and he knew he'd have to stand up again to get anything else on.
A heavy hand reached over to the clothes he'd set aside, and he picked out a new change of boxers. He stood up to put them on and then fell back onto the bed, again.

Korra looked up at his shoulder when he took off his pants, a hint of color went to her cheeks. Sick as he was, seeing him like that only reminded Korra that it had been five months since they had- since she had been physically intimate. With him. The only person she had ever been with. Her peripheral vision wasn't doing her any favors right now.
Thankfully, he was going to put some boxers on and put a stop to that.
"Mako!" She hurried as best she could forward and went to pull him back up to a sitting position. "Are you okay?" She needed to know if he was more dizzy than before. Taking the boxers out of his hand, she took a deep breath and readied to put them on him.
no subject
She was helping him, though. She was there, her hand was on his, though he didn't register that it was for the clothes. What had been the case in the kitchen was still the case there.
"Korra..."
And then he leaned forward and kissed her.
1/2
2/2
Her hand reached up into his hair and she parted her lips to kiss him back. A need to have that part of her, the one that had been neglected, finally be released was too strong. She placed her knee onto the bed and leaned forward into him, moving her lips to find every part of his. Rediscover them all over again.
He was hot from the fever, but her face getting warm from more than just that. Korra's passion was hotter than any knew, save for Mako.
no subject
Though he wasn't thinking so much as impulsively acting. Perhaps this was the capstone of his entire moment of weakness, being with her and kissing her.
A hand reaches, shaky, under her chin to pull her closer to him. His sickness obvious even through the kissing, that he has to break to breath out hot breaths, his shaking hands, and the unsteady way that he kisses back. She can feel his body shiver.
no subject
She could feel him shaking, and she pressed her body to his, let him leech off her own body warmth even though he was burning up. Thinking was taking a back seat and she brought both her hands up to the sides of his head.
This moment was helping him somehow, she wasn't quite sure how, but she'd figure it out later.
no subject
But his brain was catching up with him (though he was certainly out of breath, which was kind of sad), and he pulled back from her. Something had just occurred to him, and he realized he didn't know how long they'd been kissing.
Which meant...
"Korra, what about the food...?"
no subject
But the words caused her eyes to snap open and stare at him for a brief instant.
Crap. CRAPCRAPCRAP!
"The food!" As quickly as she could, Korra climbed off him and put her hands up. "Don't do anything that might get you hurt." She lingered just long enough to look at him, fully nude and she bit her lip. Then she turned and hurried back to the kitchen.
What was she even thinking? He was a sick mess and wasn't even thinking straight.
Apparently neither was she.
When she got there, Korra quickly turned off the stove and put the food away. As soon as she closed the refrigerator, Korra thunked her head onto the door. She probably should have just brought it over to him.
...after resting her head there for a moment, trying to clear her head, Korra limped her way back to the bedroom.

And fall asleep.
It was really easy, since he had been teetering on the edge between consciousness and unconsciousness for awhile.
no subject
Him for obvious reasons, herself for wanting to come back and pick up where they left off.
"...no, Korra." Said to herself as she walked over and climbed carefully onto the bed. He was warm, too warm, but she moved close to him put her head next to his. This was the weirdest situation she'd ever been in, and that was saying a lot considering where her life on Tu Vishan had taken her.
Eventually her confusion gave in to her being tired from the short hours of sleep she got, and Korra fell asleep.
